Congratulations to Anna Cullinane who won the Bowl Final of the Gaynor Cup today in Limerick. It went right down to the wire against Limerick County when the teams were locked at 1-1 after full and extra time. Penalties loomed. Our Anna was one of the spot kick takers as Waterford edged out their Treaty Rivals in suddenly death.
Congratulations also to Molly Doolin of Cappoquin Railway Football Club who is a team mate of a lot of our girls over the winter months, for her starring role in the final today also.

The future is bright. The next generation of St. Olivers LGFA were in action tonight in Old Parish.
A huge well done to our u8s and u10s who took to the field this evening, some pulling on the Red and White for the first time. A huge nod of appreciation to all the coaches involved, your passion will feed the club for years so long may we feast on the bounty ye will nurture. Huge thank you to all in Old Parish too for facilitating a great evening of football for the younger members of both clubs.
Well done everyone

Hard luck to our U16s in their semi final yesterday who were undone in the final few minutes by Na Déise in what was a fiercely contested battle of attrition. There will be some bumps and bruises on both sides today after an epic battle which na deise won on a scoreline of 2-10 to 4-08. Na Déise got two goals in injury time to seal the win. We wish them well in the final.
Thanks to Nicky, Pamela, Helena, Shona, Elaine, Ailbhe for their coaching duties during the year.
Well done girls and hard luck. You win some, you lose more. That's sport. Onwards and upwards. Olivers abú🔴⚪️🔴⚪️

Big big day for some of our St Olivers girls. First up at 12 noon in Banteer, we have Kate, Suin and Saorlaith who represent us in the Minor Munster FINAL v Kerry. This trio have served the club so well in our own championships but also on every county panel they have been a part of. We are very proud of you.
Then at 1:45 in Abbottstown Dublin, we have Anna, Laren and Molly who represent us in an U14 All Ireland Quarter Final. Another outstanding trio who apply themselves to both clubs and county with honour. Stay posted for updates on both games.
As a club, we are so proud of you all. Go get em!!

Best of luck to our Junior Ladies. Back in a final (hopefully the first final of the year 🤞) again as they take on Shamrocks Ladies Football Club in the Div 3 League Final tomorrow in Colligan. Throw in 6:30
Get out snd support this fantastic bunch.
All of this is building towards the Junior championship which is looming on the horizon. To capture a league title against an intermediate side would be a lovely boost before the championship. Big underdogs need big support!! So do what this parish does best...and supports our own.
Colligan...6:30pm Sat 2nd May. BE THERE!!!!

Hats off to both St St. Olivers LGFA and Ballyduff Lower lgfa in the U16 championship tonight. They served up a cracker of a match in Ballinameela which saw us come out on top at the death on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1-14.
Trailing with just 2 minutes to go, kayla got a crucial goal having been set up by Caoimhe Whelan which put us in front as the final whistle loomed.
A brilliant game of football in which both teams gave it everything.
Lucy was near faultless from frees and left the field with 6 points, 2 from play. Maisie didnt raise a green flag today but her 4 points were vital to keep us in touch with ballyduff when they threatened to pull away. Emily, Meabh, Naoise and Ellen all chipped in on the scoresheet too.
This puts the girls through to a semi final now with details to be finalised yet.
Well done girls and management .

What a day for st St. Olivers LGFA .
2 teams lined out at opposite ends of the county in the u12 championship.
Our div1 team won a hard fought match against Erin's Own and our u11s in div3, did their best against Clashmore/Kinsalebeg Ladies Football Team who proved too strong on the night.
2 teams... 2 sets of coaches... cars going the length and breadth of the county in the St Olivers colours. Great effort. Well done to all.
