Sea slugs… but not nudibranchs!
These tiny, fluffy-looking critters are often mistakenly referred to as nudibranchs, but they actually belong to a completely different group of sea slugs known as sap-sucking slugs. Better known as the “Shaun the Sheep” sea slug, these fascinating little animals feed by piercing algae and sucking out the contents—earning them their unusual nickname.
With their fuzzy appearance and cartoon-like features, it’s easy to see how they became one of our favorite subjects..
