Women’s football doesn’t need permission to grow — it needs the right structure to thrive. 🆗

At 2026, Mark Coonen, Technical Adviser at Hera United, brought a bold perspective to the Her Next Move ♀ Lab workshop in Sky West.

As part of Breaking the System, he presented an alternative vision for the women’s game: building a club where women’s football is not an addition to an existing structure, but the main product from day one.

As the first women’s-only professional football club in the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Hera United challenges traditional models and raises an important question for the future of the sport: what can become when it is built entirely on its own terms?

💬 “Don’t wait for change. Make it.”

A thought-provoking session on independence, investment and building sustainable structures for the next era of women’s football.

📊 What comes after tracking physical performance? Understanding the decisions behind it.

At 2026, Per Hansen, International Director at Tectus, took the stage in the Tectus Room with his presentation, From Athlete Data to Executive Decisions.

Per explored how the next frontier of football analytics goes beyond traditional performance metrics — from real-time physical tracking to the decision-making layer behind every movement on the pitch. The key question is no longer only what happens, but also why it happens. By connecting athlete data with deeper insights into player behaviour and decision-making, clubs can turn performance information into smarter sporting and executive decisions.

A forward-looking perspective on how data can shape the future of player development, performance and football management.

Connecting fans starts long before kick-off ✈️

At , in the Tectus Hall, industry leaders explored how travel, experiences and strategic partnerships are reshaping fan engagement.

🎙️ "Connecting Fans to the Game: Travel, Experience and Engagement – Wizz Air & AS Roma Collaboration" brought together:

👤 Silvia Mosquera – Commercial Officer, Wizz Air
👤 Michael Gandler – Chief Business Officer, AS Roma
🎤 Moderated by Peter Hopwood

The discussion highlighted a powerful shift in sports sponsorship: success isn't measured by impressions alone, but by long-term partnerships that create real value for both brands and fans.

One key takeaway stood out: the ultimate measure of a sponsorship is whether both parties are already excited about renewing it before the first season has even ended.

➕ As football continues to evolve, the strongest partnerships will be those that connect supporters to unforgettable experiences — on the ground, in the air, and beyond.
