A client recently asked me to create a 6-week recovery plan for the first six weeks after her C-section with guidance on what she could be doing at each stage, plus videos she could follow along with.

It made me realise just how many new mums could benefit from having a little more guidance, structure and support during those early weeks of recovery 🤍

So, I’ve decided to make my 6-Week C-Section Recovery Plan available to anyone who feels they’d like a little extra support through those first six weeks.

It’s designed to help you understand what you can be doing at each stage, with gentle movement and follow-along videos to support your recovery.

Available for a small one-off fee.
If you’re currently pregnant, newly postpartum, or know someone who might benefit, DM for more information 🤍

🤍 Progress without pressure
This isn’t about rushing back to exercise. It’s about gradually rebuilding strength, confidence and connection with your body while giving yourself time to heal.

As a qualified Pilates & Yoga teacher with pre and postnatal training, and someone who had my own C-section 7 months ago, I understand how much your body can change and how many questions you can have afterwards.

Every recovery is different. Some days you’ll move, other days you’ll just cuddle your baby on the sofa all day - both are okay🤍

If you’re planning a C-section or have recently had one and would like extra guidance and support, comment ‘REBUILD’ and I’ll DM you more details.

This is a gentle movement and wellbeing programme and does not replace individual medical advice or clearance from your healthcare professional.

6 months ago, I shared why I chose an elective C-section. A personal decision I made from research, self-trust and what felt was right for me.

6 months on, would I make the same decision again?

Absolutely.

Recovery hasn’t been completely effortless. It has taken time, patience and listening to my body. But I’m honestly amazed by how the body can recover and rebuild.

I can still do Pilates roll-ups, planks, teasers and all the core exercises I could do before pregnancy. They’re harder than they used to be, but I can feel myself getting stronger every time I practice.

And the “C-section shelf” I was so worried about…Doesn’t exist 🙏🏼

I was also worried about scar tissue causing tightness or limiting my movement, particularly in exercises like Swan or Upward Dog. But 6 months later, my range of movement is exactly where it was before, with no restriction or tightness.

I had my 6-week check with Emma Tailby | Specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist , followed by a couple more sessions for scar massage and cupping, and I continued scar massage myself morning and evening.

Pilates has been a huge part of rebuilding my core and stability, while yoga feels like my best friend at the moment 💜

I’ve also just started properly getting back into strength and weight training, and I’m loving it.

It’s taken time to find a new routine whilst balancing motherhood, working 25+ hours a week and doing it all on very little sleep. My body hasn’t magically bounced back overnight but I’m stronger than I was 6 months ago, I’m moving well and I’m learning to appreciate everything my body has done.

As I said in my original post, this is my experience- not advice or a recommendation for how anyone else should give birth.

There is no one “right” way to give birth. Just the way that feels right for you 🤍
