🤩 GK UNION ACADEMY — WEEKLY CAPTAINS 🤩

Something we’ve been discussing internally as coaches for a while…

We see a huge need for our GK’s to develop their confidence, communication and social skills, alongside their goalkeeping.

Not every GK gets the opportunity to be a captain at their club — so we want to create those opportunities here at GK Union Academy. 🫡

Each week, GK’s will have the chance to lead, organise, communicate and support their group, taking on different responsibilities and challenges.

It’s about giving them a voice, building confidence and helping them become comfortable stepping up and leading others.

Because we’re not just developing better goalkeepers… we’re developing better people. 🖤💛

We’re delighted to announce our Monday & Wednesday Goalkeeper Programmes for the 2026–2027 season! 🟠⚫️

Designed for goalkeepers who want to develop, perform and stand out, our sessions focus on high-intensity, match-realistic training delivered to professional standards.

🟠 MONDAYS — Perdiswell Leisure Centre

📍 WR3 8DX
• 18:00–19:00 — U7–10’s
• 19:00–20:00 — U11–13’s
• 20:00–21:00 — U14–18’s

🟠 WEDNESDAYS — KGV Brickfields

📍 WR4 9TL
• 18:00–19:00 — U7–11’s
• 19:00–20:00 — U12–18’s

🔥 WHAT TO EXPECT 🔥

✅ High-intensity, match-realistic training
✅ Small coaching groups — on average just 5–6 GK’s per coach
✅ Professional coaching & elite standards
✅ Pathway support towards professional academy environments
✅ A specific goalkeeper syllabus covering all aspects of the position

This creates the closest thing to a match without playing one.
