A great day at Upton Rowing Club on Sunday with the 4th leg of the West Midlands Recreational Rowing League. Plenty of close racing and a lot of fun. A huge thank you to the Upton gang for hosting the event. Looking forward to the 5th leg at Shires on Sunday 3rd August.

West Midlands Region Recreational Rowing League - UPDATE
The first round of the league got off to a flying start on Sunday. Glorious weather and a beautiful setting made the day extra special. Well done to everyone taking part and congratulations to the Filthy Oars from Stourport who took 1st place and tops the table.
Looking forward to the WWRR League circus moving on to Bridgnorth on Saturday 14th June

The 2024 Recreational Rowing League came to a 'Head' on Saturday with the outright winners of the brand new cup being Oarsome from Bewdley Rowing Club. Crews from Upton Rowing Club, Bewdley Rowing Club, Stourport Boat Club 1876 and Ross Rowing Club completed the 2km Head course at Stourport.
Thank you to all the clubs in the region who supported the Recreational Rowing League. We're already planning the 2025 league and look forward to welcoming more crews to come and join the craic.

4th leg of the West Mids Recreational League. Loads of laughs. Speared a couple of sea scouts..... who we're standing on the bank - and caught the Grand Daddy of all carps in stroke's blade!
Some very close times in the final sprints justified the small glass after!
