Purchased by CVS for a then-club-record fee in the winter of 1998, Nicki rode two seasons at Monmore, becoming the top points scorer in 2000.

🏆 We knew he was a precocious talent, even at 22 years of age, but probably never envisaged that he would become a triple World Champion.

Oh, how we miss this character on the GP circuit!

🎤 Hear Nicki talk about his career at the Cleveland Arms on 5 November.

A night that will live forever in the hearts of Wolves supporters. 🧡

Ten years ago today, we lifted the Elite League title after an unforgettable battle with Belle Vue.

It was a meeting that had absolutely everything - incredible racing, drama, tension and an atmosphere that those who were there will never forget.

And there were stories everywhere you looked.

It was the legendary Peter Karlsson’s final meeting in Wolves colours, bringing the curtain down on an incredible chapter with the club in the most fitting way possible — as a champion.

Freddie Lindgren produced a superb performance, while Tai Woffinden delivered when it mattered most, sealing the victory and sparking scenes of celebration.

But that night was about the whole team. Every single rider played their part. Every point mattered.

We were with them every step of the way.

Ten years later, those memories mean even more.

After more than 95 years of speedway at our historic home of Monmore Green - the world’s oldest speedway track - we were cruelly denied the opportunity to continue racing there.

A track which witnessed generations of Wolves riders, supporters, victories, defeats, championships and unforgettable nights is now covered in grass.

But grass cannot cover the memories.

It cannot erase more than 95 years of history.

And it certainly cannot end the story of Wolverhampton Speedway.

The search for a new home continues. The determination remains. And so does the incredible support of the Wolfpack.

We’ve celebrated championships together. We’ve experienced nights we will never forget. We’ve watched generations of riders proudly wear the Wolf on their race jacket.

We have 95+ years of memories behind us.

We’re fighting for the opportunity to make many more.

Wolverhampton Speedway deserves a future. 🧡

Once a Wolf, always a Wolf.

❤️ Today marks the end of an incredible chapter as Tai Woffinden has announced his retirement from professional speedway.

From the moment he pulled on the Wolves race jacket, Tai became part of our family. Together, we celebrated unforgettable highs, including title triumphs in 2009 and 2016, creating memories that will live on forever.

Beyond the trophies and the racing, Tai built lifelong friendships at Monmore Green and inspired a generation of supporters with his passion, determination and commitment to the sport.

His achievements speak for themselves, becoming a three-time Speedway World Champion and one of the greatest riders British speedway has ever produced.

Thank you, Tai, for everything you gave to Wolverhampton and speedway.
