Hampshire Schools Rugby – Building Connections, Creating Opportunities!

Following the merger of Hampshire Schools RFU into Hampshire RFU, we're making positive progress towards a more connected and visible schools rugby landscape across Hampshire.

Our focus is simple: strengthening the links between schools, clubs and the wider community game, creating more opportunities for young people to experience, enjoy and stay involved in rugby.

We're already seeing encouraging engagement from schools, with new festivals and competition opportunities emerging alongside our existing programmes.

To support this work, we've developed three key resources:

📋 Schools Information Capture
Are you involved in rugby at a Hampshire school? Help us understand what rugby you currently offer, what you'd like to access and how we can support you.

📅 Schools Rugby Events & Competitions
Discover the latest festivals, competitions and opportunities for schools across Hampshire, including new opportunities for boys' and girls' rugby.

📚 Schools Rugby Governance
Clear information and guidance to help schools navigate rugby governance, regulations and approvals.

Connecting schools and clubs is central to our ambition. We want to make it easier for schools to access opportunities, for clubs to build relationships with local schools and for young people to find their place in rugby.

Please help us spread the word! Tag your local school, share with PE teachers and rugby leads, and encourage schools to connect with Hampshire RFU.
