Well, I hope everyone who attended Chase the Sun on Wednesday agrees what amazing marshals we had!
We'd like to remind you that we couldn't put on these events without the help of our lovely volunteers (some of whom did more than one role) and so here is a roll call of all those who gave up their time so you could 'enjoy' the run 😁
On Car Parking: David, Shirley, Mike and for a short time, Rose (before sweeping), Fiona, and Shelley.
Race Registration: Hazel, Christine and Lizzy (ably assisted by Ethan on Pen and Safety Pin organising)
Tea Room pass marshals (before morphing into finish line angels): Nina, Karen, Charli and Isla
Directing you out the front gate and back in: Shelley (after helping with car parking)
Fairy Gate onto the Blue Pool loop: Hazel (after registration) and mini marshal Ethan (he was the one shouting "you're not nearly there" or some other encouragement 😆), then later Lizzy and Christine.
Directing you into the camping field: David (after car parking), Lizzy and Christine (after registration)
In the 2nd camping field: Jenny and mini marshal Jack
Directing you out the field onto the trails: Claire and her children (apologies I didn't get their names)
Turning you down the bridle path: Fiona (after helping with car parking)
At the Split (in both directions!): Andy
Turning you right onto causeway across Norden Farm: Mel and her partner
On the hill above Norden, turning you left through the gate: Teri
At the Corfe Castle gate: Diane, Jim, Chrissy and partner
Up the hill at the double gate: Beccy and her daughter
On either side of the Hardy Way dip: Philippa and Mark
On the Water Station: Julie and Dave
At the road exit gate: Edward
Entry back to the trails: Neil
At the Purbeck Way Gate: Karla
at the final gate before the blue pool: Shirley (after car parking)
Finish line Angels giving you your medals: Karen, Nina, Charli and Isla
