A new 100-mile world record was set yesterday by Zach Bitter from Wisconsin. 100 miles in 11 hours, 19 minutes, 13 seconds. I’m having trouble wrapping my head around that.
That’s a 6:47 per mile pace. For 100 miles.
That pace translates to a 2:58 marathon, except he did it for 100 miles. Nearly four marathons. Nonstop.
That pace translates to 21:06 for a 5K. He did it for 100 miles. That’s 32 1/2 consecutive 5Ks.
Absolutely incredible.
