- Yendys Pluto vs Bran Nu.
- Yendys U13 faced Bran Nu this evening, knowing it would be a tough test against a much older and physical side – and they certainly lived up to that expectation.
- The girls started brilliantly, matching Bran Nu in every area of the court throughout the first and second quarters and arguably looking the stronger team. Daisy Morris dominated the centre court with an outstanding all-round performance, while Renee was clinical under the net keeping the scoreboard ticking over. The intensity of the contest was evident, with the score locked at 13-13 at half-time.
- Unfortunately, a difficult third quarter proved costly, allowing Bran Nu to open up a lead that was just too much to recover from. The final quarter was much more evenly contested, with Yendys battling hard until the final whistle and showing great determination and resilience.
- Despite the 21-35 loss every player gave a tremendous effort and proved that they can compete with bigger, older and more physical teams. It was a performance full of character and plenty of positives to take forward.
- Player of the Match went to Daisy Morris, which was thoroughly deserved 👏👏
