Tomorrow evening sees the latest round of the Wiltshire County Summer Team League. Where we play hosts to the current top of the league team from the Defence Academy, start time is 6:45 Trowbridge Squash Rackets Club located Trowbridge Sports Centre ,

The match ups are

1 Tom Scott-Cowell vs Adam Giles

2 Robbie Collier vs Dominic Middleton-frith

3 Paul Ruddick vs Seb Ridgeway

4 John Fajardo vs Marcus Smart

With a doubles game as well but the doubles pairing have yet to be decided ,

Its going to be a really good night of squash between the two top teams in the league

Yesterday saw the club host the Wiltshire County over 45s Championships , hete is how it went ...

We had new players enter the event this year , including 5 players from our club which is great to see , Gary Walters made it through to the main draw 1/4 finals before losing to the number 1 seed , Chris Lamming played his heart out and got through to the 1/4 finals of the plate competition, Mark McGuiness made it through to the 1/4 finals of the main draw. Steve Ruddick made it through to the plate semi final. And Paul Ruddick won the plate competition a huge well done to Paul ,

The main competition saw some very high level squash throughout with the final being contested between the number 1 seed Simon Lucas vs number 2 seed Nigel Rowe which was a cracking match to watch it went the way of Simon Lucas very well done to you Simon .

The club is hugely proud to have held the championships this year. And would like to say thank you to everyone that came along to support and of course a massive thank you to the players that entered you all played well .

Finally the winner of the £100 prize draw was Simon Lucas , this was picked by club chairman Jim Conway

Tomorrow we are proud to say that we will be holding the Wiltshire County Closed Over 45s Championships here at Trowbridge Squash Rackets Club located at Trowbridge Sports Centre the tournament will get underway at 9am sharpe , there is a high standard of squash going to be on display , it is 100% FREE to come along and watch

Tonight the Team was due to play Marlborough 1s in the latest round of the Wiltshire County Summer League Season. But sadly Marl1s could not raise a side which means that we have been awarded a home walkover giving us another 19 points which depending on results tonight could mean we go top or close the gap even further. The race for top spot is getting close with only 6 matches left

Last night was a great night of squash in the latest round of the county summer team league , we hosted a strong Devizes side , here are the results

1 Robbie vs Peter 3-2 home win

2 Joe vs Mike 2-3 away win

3 Paul R vs Paul F 3-0 home win

4 Will vs Ed 3-0 home win

Doubles John & Steve vs Andy & Ed 3-1 home win

On the night we won 4-1 giving us 18 points which means we have closed the gap to top of the table which is now down to just 4 points

Next week the team are at home again taking on Marlborough 1s 7pm start all support welcome

WHAT A PERFORMANCE

Last night saw the latest round of the Wiltshire County Summer Team League , with us playing Hosts to an unbeaten Army team .

What a great night of squash it turned out to be with some matches lasting over an hour and outstanding performances from all of our players to hand the Army their first defeat of the season. Meaning that we are currently sitting 3rd in the league only 14 points off top spot , well done all roll on next week 💪💪💪
