Who said learning had to be serious? 🤪

At Limitlass: Next Gen, some of the biggest skills were picked up through some of the silliest games. Our trail treasure hunt had the girls working through challenges to earn their clues — ducking under a limbo stick on their bikes to nail body position, threading through a cone slalom to work on cornering, and holding a trackstand long enough to move on. Meanwhile, in coaching sessions, they were learning to jump a rainbow! 🌈

Turns out, having fun is one of the best ways to learn.

Skills are learned. Confidence is built. And a good time is had by all. 🙌

Limitlass Legacy Fund: meet Cara!

We're delighted to share that Cara is one of our Limitlass Legacy Fund recipients.

Cara used the bursary to complete the British Cycling Mountain Bike Leader training course (previously known as Level 3). You might already recognise Cara from coaching and guiding at last year's Limitlass Festival and at Limitlass Next Gen.

Based in Aviemore, Cara ran a 4-week women's fundamentals course for local riders and wrote a university dissertation on barriers to women's mountain biking in Scotland. Cara's also hoping to get more involved with local bike projects and associations.

In Cara's words:

"I'm looking forward to progressing my career in the outdoor industry in the direction I want and improve my independence in guiding. But more importantly the Limitlass Legacy Fund will help me toward my goal of improving other people's experience in the outdoors; helping them gain confidence and grow a love for the freedom that mountain biking offers."

Huge congratulations, Cara — we can't wait to see where this takes you 🙌

LIMITLASS NEXT GEN 💜✨

A day packed with bikes, learning, creativity, adventure, new friendships, treasure hunts, workshops, bracelet-making, confidence-building, laughter, and so many unforgettable moments.

The atmosphere from start to finish was something really special.

Seeing the girls challenge themselves, try new things, support one another, make new friends, and leave with huge smiles on their faces was everything we’d hoped for. This is exactly why we created Next Gen.

A massive thank you to our incredible team of coaches, workshop leaders, volunteers, and supporting brands who helped bring this vision to life. Events like this don’t happen without an army of brilliant people behind the scenes, and we’re so grateful for every single one of you.

And to the girls—you were amazing. Thank you for showing up with enthusiasm, kindness, courage, and a willingness to give everything a go. You made the day what it was, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group to share it with.

What a day. What a community. 💜

This time next Saturday, Next Gen will be in full swing! 🙌

Final preparations are underway (the to-do list is getting shorter… slowly) and we cannot wait to see everyone at Bike Glenlivet — it's going to be an amazing day!

We’re getting very excited for Limitlass Next Gen at Bike Glenlivet 💜

From the fun, confidence-building trails to the skills park, it’s such a brilliant place to ride — and we can’t wait to see you all there!

As well as the trails, the café is great too! ☕ The lovely team at are opening an hour early especially for us, so it’ll be open from 9am for coffee (for the parents 😂), and pre-ride fuel.
