Our second team came up against tough opposition in Coalville Rugby Club seconds on Saturday.

Ryan Burrows, was another debutant to get his name on the score sheet this weekend.
Supporting well and finishing off in the corner.

Harry Beales managed to get the final try of the game and then duly converted.

🏉 FINAL SCORE 🏉

Our 1st XV came out on top in our final warm up game before next week’s league campaign kicks off.

Ashby put on a strong display in the first half and were leading at the break 29 - 21.

Tamworth came out in the second half a rejuvenated side. Come the final whistle Tamworth had crossed the opposition whitewash 9 times with 7 different scorers.

Sam Hinckley scored his first two tries for the senior team although being a regular for the past two seasons.
Hopefully something added to his game for this campaign.

Harry Jones scored a first half try, showing the work he has put in over pre season and dotting down on his debut.

Xander Hogan was another player to score who is not accustomed to the try line. He capped off a good amount of pressure in the 22 with a brilliant running line which left the defence no other option than to stand by and watch him go through the hole.

All in all a good performance which the lads will look to build on this week at training and take into next week’s first league fixture of the 26/27 season.

It wasn’t to be for our lads on the road this weekend.

A solid team performance that didn’t see any points from either side until the second half.
Lots of positives as a squad to carry into our final warm up match on the 19th.

Tries from Joe Mason & Olly Cole were over shadowed by Olly Tudor and his wonder 60 yard sprint down the wing to score in the corner.

Matty Williams went 1 from 3 off the tee, in very challenging, windy conditions.
