We are delighted to announce Tamworth Rugby Club Men's Senior Leadership Team for the 2026/27 season!

Head Coach – John Smith
Assistant Coaches - Danny Norton Tom Franks & Dave Yardley

�1st XV Captain – Jamie Lawrence
�1st XV Vice Captains – Joe Mason & Liam McGreevy
�2nd XV Captain – Rob Thompson

Team Managers
�1st XV – Lea Mcgreevy
�2nd XV – Phillip Jon Stevenson

This year sees a few new additions to the leadership team.

Tommy Franks & Dave Yardley come in to assist with coaching duties and bolster our 2nd XV match day personnel. Bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and experience on and off the pitch.

Tom Dyer will join the Senior Leadership team and will ably assist with operations across the whole Senior Section.
Tom's can do attitude will bring a level of infectious optimism and persistent resilience to any situation.

Congratulations to everyone stepping into these leadership roles, and thank you for your commitment to the Club.

We wish you every success for the 2026/27 season and look forward to what we have in store!

Huge congratulations to our Tamworth Rugby Club Colts lads for representing the Coventry Rugby Club Academy this weekend in their matches against Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club at Brunel University.

While both games unfortunately ended in narrow losses by just a single try, the Lads all put in great performances.

Well done Lads.

Well done and thank you to all you Guys up and out volunteering at Tamworth Castle Grounds parkrun this morning!

We were really happy to help out!

A huge thank you to all the volunteers from Tamworth Rugby Club who provided many of out volunteers out on the course this morning.

The summer holidays mean that many regular volunteers can't be with us every week which can leave us short of volunteers.

Are you part of a group who like Tamworth Rugby Club can provide us with some volunteers?

Are you free to volunteer one Saturday in August rather than run it?

Morning All,

This Saturday (25th) Tamworth Rugby Club is supporting the Tamworth Castle Grounds parkrun.

We need a few extra Volunteers to help Marshall the event and cheer on the participants.

Meet time would be 08:20 and would likely be wrapped up by 10:20.

We will then head to the Cosy Cafe in Town for coffee and cake!

Would be great to get as many people in TRUFC colours down there as possible.

2026 Football World Cup Blind Draw Sweepstake!

We never got the opportunity to sell all the Teams due to Club closure, so the we had to slightly modify the Prize money!

The official final standings for all 48 competing nations at the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup have been determined. Following standard FIFA tournament regulations, teams knocked out in the same round are ranked based on points accumulated, goal difference, and total goals scored throughout the tournament.

Spain is the official champion, defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final.
