Well done to our player of the week, Ethan, and January's player the month Connor, the latter of whom wins a £20 voucher for the !

Connor has shown remarkable development recently and really impressed the coaches with his dedication and level of improvement.

Great work by all our players last night, kicking February off in style!

Tonight was my favourite session of the year as we hosted our third annual end-of-year awards.

With a number of trophies on offer and a free raffle with some brilliant prizes, including some gloves kindly donated by , plus a little present for every single player, it's the perfect opportunity to celebrate our player's achievements and recognise those who excel.

After the awards we headed out for a fun session to finish off the year, featuring goalie wars, small sided games and a penalty shootout, it was a brilliant way to finish 2025.

It's been a brilliant third year for , not without its challenges, but I'm looking forward to a couple of weeks off before kicking on again in 2026.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me. From players and parents, to fellow coaches and those I've spoken to but never met (you know who you are). This can be a challenging and lonely game at times, but I wouldn't change it 👊

A new mini-series starting tomorrow (Thursday...) where I talk about my thoughts... So I've called it Thursday Thought... 🤔

Each week, I'll chat some nonsense about goalkeeping for 45 seconds or so, on topics covering the technical, tactical, and mental side of the game.

Challenging couple of months at with a few familiar faces moving on to pastures new, but that's the reality of running a business sometimes - regardless of the size or scale, you'll always face challenges.

BUT, it was my birthday last week and I was treated to a great night away at by my wonderful wife - and then came back to two new faces joining tonight's session for the first time!

I love it when new players start. They often turn up slightly shy and nervous, but by the end of the session they are usually a completely different person, comfortable and looking forward to coming back. Engaging with the young goalkeepers we support and playing a small part in their lives is so rewarding, and makes all the struggles worthwhile!

Humbled to have been invited back to tomorrow for the second time to give a talk to their year 13 PE students for the business unit - should be fun, and hopefully bring some value to them!

⚽ 𝗠𝗢/𝗚𝗞 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 ⚽

Our Monday /GK group has continued to shine, celebrating our 100th session in June, welcoming more players on average than in 2024, and benefitting from improved coach retention.

I’m truly fortunate to have a fantastic team supporting what we do, brilliant players and parents backing us all the way, and a strong network around us.

Our Wednesday group, which has been running since April, holds its final session of the year tomorrow. While numbers have dipped compared to last year, we’ve still had a dedicated core of young ‘keepers who have shown great commitment, enthusiasm, and love for goalkeeping and I'm looking forward to picking these up again next summer.

I’m now heading off for two weeks with the full intention of completely switching off, recharging, and getting ready to go again in September. During this time, I’ll be largely unavailable on social media, WhatsApp, and via my website, but I’ll catch up on any messages once I return.

There’s still plenty more to come from MO/GK, and I’m excited about what the rest of 2025, and beyond, has in store.
