πŸ₯Š Proud Moment πŸ₯Š

Today I officially passed my Level 2 Boxing Coaching Qualification.

This has been a long journey that started when I set up my boxing club back in 2023. Building something from scratch has not been easy. It has taken determination, resilience, hard work, and a refusal to give up, even when challenges appeared and people doubted what could be achieved.

One thing this journey has taught me is that success is never achieved alone. Behind every milestone are people who support, guide, encourage, and believe in you when times are tough.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way. You all know who you are, and your support has meant the world to me.

A very special thank you to Ingle’s Gym, Luca Ingle, Dominic Ingle, and everyone associated with the gym.

Walking through the doors of Ingle’s Gym has been one of the greatest privileges of my boxing journey. The history, tradition, knowledge, and experience within those walls are second to none. This is a gym that has produced world champions and helped shape some of the biggest names in British boxing, and to be welcomed into that environment has been truly humbling.

The opportunity to learn from coaches with such a wealth of experience, to observe how champions are developed, and to be surrounded by people who live and breathe the sport every day has been invaluable to my growth as both a coach and a person.

From day one, Luca Ingle, Dominic Ingle, and everyone at the gym made me feel welcome. They treated me with kindness, respect, and support, and have always been willing to share their knowledge and experience. Their guidance has played a huge part in my development and has helped shape the coach I am becoming today.

What started as somewhere I went to learn has become somewhere that feels like home. The friendships, support, and sense of belonging I have found there mean more to me than words can express. I will always be grateful for the opportunities, guidance, and encouragement that Ingle’s Gym has given me. Thank you for making me feel part of the family and for helping me continue to grow within this incredible sport.

Special thanks also to:

πŸ₯Š Mick Rowe, Paz, and everyone at Halifax Boxing Club for welcoming me, allowing me to assist with sessions, and helping me continue to develop as a coach.

πŸ₯Š The Yorkshire Boxing Team coaches for welcoming me, allowing me to attend training sessions and giving me the opportunity to work alongside and learn from the Yorkshire squad. Thank you for allowing our boxers to spar with the Yorkshire team and for helping me develop my understanding of the sport at a higher level.

πŸ₯Š Jon Dennis for his incredible help and guidance throughout the Level 2 Boxing course. His support has been unwavering from start to finish, and the knowledge and experience he has shared with me have played a huge part in helping me reach this achievement. I am truly grateful for everything he has done to support my development as a coach.

πŸ₯Š Alicia Winbolt for all the support, advice, and guidance she has given me since 2023.

πŸ₯Š Everyone at England Boxing who has played a part in my development and learning throughout this journey.

πŸ₯Š And finally, Shelley Handley. Thank you for your support, encouragement, patience, and belief in me over the last three years. Building a club, studying, coaching, and pursuing qualifications takes a huge amount of time and commitment, and your support has helped me reach this point.

Without the support of all these people, none of this would have been possible.

This qualification is not just about passing an exam; it’s about the journey, the lessons learned, the people I’ve met, and the belief that if you keep working hard and never give up on your goals, anything is possible.

There have been challenges along the way, but I’ve learned that resilience, determination, and staying focused on your goals are what ultimately lead to success. When you truly want something, you keep moving forward regardless of the obstacles in front of you.

Looking back to where this journey started in 2023 when I set up the club, I could never have imagined how much I would learn, how many great people I would meet, and how much support I would receive. This qualification represents not just a pass certificate, but years of hard work, commitment, sacrifice, and personal growth.

I am incredibly proud of what has been achieved so far, but this is only the beginning. I am excited about the future and looking forward to continuing my coaching journey, developing boxers of all abilities, growing the club, and helping more people discover the opportunities and life lessons that boxing can provide.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. This achievement belongs to all of you as much as it does to me.

Here’s to the future leveling up. πŸ‘ŠπŸ₯Š
