A fantastic result from Southam Rugby Club’s Farmers Day, where an incredible £1,000 was raised for Myton Hospice through the event raffle.

Event organiser Andrew Mitchell recently presented a cheque to Jodie Jones from Myton Hospice, helping to support the vital care and services they provide to local families.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who attended, bought raffle tickets, donated prizes, volunteered their time, and helped make the day such a success. Your generosity and support made this wonderful donation possible.

Well done to everyone involved for coming together to support such an important cause.

Although the season has wrapped up, our U10s were still out in full force this weekend as parents organised a fantastic team social at AirHop on Saturday.

A brilliant turnout of 18 players came along to bounce off some energy, have a laugh, and enjoy some well-earned team bonding off the pitch.

Plenty of smiles, plenty of energy, and great club spirit all round — the fun never stops for this group! 🏉

What a fantastic evening for the Southam RUFC Walking Legends as we played our very first match against the well-established Old Leamingtonian Nomads! 🏉

The Nomads were brilliant opponents — competitive, supportive, and more than happy to help us learn the game along the way. A huge thank you to them for making it such a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. 👏

An incredible 50 players took part across the evening, and the Legends absolutely held their own! The passion, teamwork, and spirit on display showed just how much this group is growing week by week.

If you’ve been thinking about giving walking rugby a go, now’s the time — get yourself down to Southam RUFC on a Wednesday evening. This group is going places! 💙

Help shape the future of sport and community facilities in Southam – your voice matters! 🗣️

Great to see our minis and juniors out in the community putting up posters to help spread the word.

Southam is growing, and with that comes an increasing need for accessible, inclusive spaces for sport, activity and wider community use. As a club, we want to make sure we’re planning for the future in the right way, but we can’t do that without hearing from the people who live here.

We’re inviting all local residents to take a few minutes to complete a short questionnaire. Your feedback will play a really important role in helping shape future plans for sports and community facilities in Southam.

Minis & Juniors Monmouth Tour 2026 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏉

What a weekend for Southam RUFC Minis & Juniors!

This tour was about more than just rugby — it was about community, friendship, and making memories. From morning swims and relaxed catch-ups to plenty of laughter (and karaoke!), it was the perfect mix of fun and team bonding and club spirit was on show throughout.

Sunday brought festival rugby, with our blue and white (and a splash of pink!) proudly on show against strong Welsh opposition. There were wins, tough battles, and great effort across all age groups — exactly what it’s all about.

Here’s how each group got on 👇

U14s:
vs Monmouth: 5–22 (George)
vs Leicester Vipers: 7–12 (Reggie, George conv)
vs Chepstow: 17–7 (George x2, Dex, Rufus)
A tough set of games with real determination shown.
👏 MOTM: Dylan A for superb work rate and lineout performance.

U12s:
With just 8 players, the boys showed incredible heart across 4 matches against strong opposition. No scores kept, but a brilliant display of effort, teamwork, and Southam spirit to close the season. 💙

U11s:
3 wins, 1 loss. The team adapted brilliantly to WRU rules in some tough, competitive games.
👏 MOTM: The Team

U10s:
A strong showing with 2 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. The lads played with great intensity and teamwork against talented Welsh sides.

U9s:
Great effort across the group with special mentions to Bobby (Tackle/Tie), Monty (TREDS), and Reuben (Midweek Player).

U8s:
4 games against strong Welsh opposition with everyone enjoying themselves — a great way to finish the season on and off the pitch.

U7s:
2 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss — a brilliant effort full of energy and smiles! ⚡️

A huge thank you to all players, coaches, and families — a weekend that truly showed what Southam RUFC is all about 🙌
