bittersweet day for the club!!

34 boys available for two games today, but unfortunately the First Team fixture was called off at midday leaving the Seconds to fly the flag against Brynna 3rd XI.

And what a game it was! 💪

The boys raced into a 3–0 lead, but despite battling right to the end, unfortunately went down 4–3. A tough result, but plenty to be proud of.

The real highlight was seeing 9 of the 16 new boys signed this season take to the field for the club — a fantastic sign of the growth and future of the team.

Even more special were debuts for two 16-year-olds, showing just how much talent is coming through.

Results won't always go our way, but days like today show the strength, spirit and future of the club.

The 1st are away to Carn Rovers f.c, looking to maintain Thier unbeaten start to the season.

The games come thick and fast as the Firsts take on Brackla Football Club on Tuesday night.

The Firsts will be looking to extend their winning run as they continue their return to the Premier Division, but they’ll face a Brackla side full of confidence after demolishing Llanharan 5–1 in their last outing.

Historically, Brackla have had the better of this fixture, putting together an impressive eight-game winning streak against Sarn before the Firsts finally ended that run in the last meeting.

And what a way to do it! With the game heading towards injury time, veteran Paul Evans produced an absolute thunderbolt to seal a dramatic 3–2 victory for Sarn. ⚡⚽

This fixture is also rarely short of drama, with the rivalry having produced a few red cards in previous meetings. So, with both sides coming into Tuesday’s game with plenty to prove, expect another feisty and fiercely contested encounter.

Mixed bag of results today.

The day started with 16 players unavailable, and the teams certainly reflected that, with just 15 and 13 boys respectively available for the two sides.

The 1st team came out on top against reigning champions Bryntirion, winning 4–3 in a thrilling game down at Pandy Park to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. 💪⚽

The seconds, meanwhile, came away from Llynfi with a heavy 7–1 defeat.

If the early results are anything to go by, Llynfi will certainly be up there pushing for promotion alongside Garw. It looks like it could be a very interesting race for the top two! 👀⚽

The Seconds are away today in what will arguably be one of their toughest games of the season, with a trip to Metcalf Street to face a very strong Llynfi side.

Llynfi have made a flying start, scoring 11 goals in their opening two games, so the boys know they’ll have to be at their very best today! 💪
