Struggle Borderlands 2026 Gravel and Road Sportive takes place in 12th & 13th September 2026 from right here at Dales Bike Centre, Yorkshire.

Borderlands Road on the 12th has two epic routes... 100km or a brutal 200km route. stunning scenery and a bucket list of classic climbs.
Borderlands Gravel on the 13th is no simple blast along bridalways! With jaw-clenching climbs and testing terrain, Borderlands is your next test of fitness as you explore beyond the Asphalt.

Struggle Borderlands Road 2025 is a new epic sportive road cycling event in Yorkshire taking place at The Dales Bike Centre. This tough 100 mile sportive ride takes in hardy climbs. There's also a 100km sportive route option and the option to take in the gravel ride the day before.

It's Arrived!!
The new Orange Phase Avinox is in the building!
Wasn't long before a very excited customer raced here to collect it.
This is a stunning frameset from Orange Bikes, we love the slimmed down downtube, the design of the drive unit being tucked away looks great, bash guard will certainly protect the drive unit and looks good. The swing arm has been slimmed down and the profile reshaped somewhat. This Factory spec Phase is equipped with Fox 38's, the new X2 rear shock and Fox Transfer seat dopper. The new Avinox MS2 system is unreal! What a bike...

We're Recruiting.. Bike Shop Assistant Manager

Due to recent staff movement we are looking to recruit an experienced Bike Shop Assistant Manager. Dales Bike Centre is a destination location in Swaledale with great mountain biking and road cycling from the door. The Bike Shop is integral to the overall business along with a very busy café, glamping pod and bunk accommodation. A 50 bike hire fleet is a strong element of the day to day operations as well as busy bike repairs/service workshop and a compact retail area stocking many great brands. Working as part of a small team the role is to further develop and manage the retail element of the bike shop, be sales focussed with presentation and approach. Deal day to day with the ordering of new bikes, parts and accessories from industry suppliers and distributors. Process bike hire bookings and assist customers to having really positive experiences cycling the Yorkshire Dales. The ideal canididate would have bike mechanic experience to assist with repairs, adjustments and set up of bikes during busy periods. We are looking for that person who loves being around people and bikes.

The Prince of Wales called in to pick up a takeaway cake box for his visit to meet farmers in upper Swaledale and Wensleydale. An absolute pleasure for all our team to meet Prince William, chat and guide him through the decision game of 'Which 5 cakes for £13'... We all know that game😂
