Although as Divers, we mainly want to dive, sometimes the pool is the only option. Pool sessions are held regularly at Cripps Swimming Pool in the grounds of Northampton General Hospital. The Dive Club meets, as in sits around with a drink and chats, on a Thursday and Sunday evening after the Club Pool Session. The Pool is crystal clear, 25 metres long and in the deep end is 3 metres deep, ideal for practice (try out that new equipment) and for training. We cannot promise that you will see too many fish, but we can promise you a great time! After the pool session the fun continues in the Restaurant and Bar situated in the same building as the Pool, where great food and cheap drinks are served till late at night. Lots of club members come to these sessions to arrange trips and to meet new friends. We have a huge stock of major brands including Apeks, Aqualung, Atomic, Oceanic, Mares, Scubapro, Suunto, Poseidon, Buddy, Sea & Sea, Dive Rite, Hydrotech, Aquatec, Typhoon, Bodyglove, Fourth Element and Uwatec. Dive Northampton is the County's premier PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre. Simply put, this means that we've reached the standard that allows us to train other PADI Instructors - we teach the teachers and therefore have to maintain the highest standards. We run just about every PADI Course you would wish to take from Discover Scuba to Instructor. Not only are we the area's longest established PADI Dive Training Centre with nearly 20 years training experience at the centre, we like to think we are also the best. Despite our commitment to staffing ratios, annual training equipment replacement and training standards, our price structure is generally no more expensive than other Dive Centres locally. This is especially important in the current economic climate. You can be certain that despite being competitively priced, we will ensure that the highest possible standards are maintained, whether you are in the pool or Open Water. Our technical team are available to to provide Servicing for all your diving equipment. Regular servicing of all of your diving equipment is essential. Some servicing is a legal requirement and your cylinders will not be filled unless they are within their test period. Regulators supply you with your breathing gas underwater and need to be serviced in line with the Manufacturter's recommendations and good old common sense. Dry suits seals have a habit of tearing just before a dive. DIVE Northampton has it's own in-house team of Service Technicians for your Regulator, BCD, Dive Computer and Dive Watch servicing. Dry Suit repairs and Cylinder tests go to our local Service Centre and are usually back to us in a week. To see more, take a look at the Servicing section. DIVE Northampton is now able to offer Trimix to 300 Bar and Oxygen fills up to 240 Bar. This is in addition to the EANx Nitrox and Air fills to 300 Bar. A brand new Oxygen and Helium Pump has just been installed together with the
analysis equipmernt and as well as continuing to offer Enriched Air Nitrox fills to 300 Bar, we can now offer Trimix to 300 Bar and 100% Oxygen fills to 240 Bar. We've not forgotten our Airgun and Painball customers. We can offer air fills up to 310 Bar / 4500 PSI for most cylinders, although not the Carbon Dioxide cylinders.
