Rest isn’t something you earn once every box on your to-do list has been ticked.✅
It’s what allows you to do the list in the first place.
We’ve been taught to see rest as a reward.
Something we deserve only after we’ve been productive enough.
But your nervous system works differently.
When we pause...
When we slow our breathing...
When we allow ourselves a few uninterrupted moments of stillness...
Our bodies shift out of survival mode and into a state where we can think more clearly, focus more easily, and respond rather than react.
Rest isn’t the opposite of productivity.
It’s the foundation of it.
Today, before reaching for the next task, try this:
✨ Close your eyes.
✨ Breathe in slowly through your nose.
✨ Let the exhale be even slower.
✨ Repeat for just 3–5 minutes, without interruption.
Your to-do list can wait a few minutes.
Your nervous system has been waiting much longer. 🤍
If you’re longing for a deeper reset, we’d love to welcome you to Rest Friday with next Friday 31st July.
Through gentle, evidence-informed breathwork and Yoga Nidra, you’ll be guided into a space where your body can truly unwind, your mind can settle, and your nervous system can find the rest it needs—not as a reward, but as a necessity.
Come and give yourself permission to pause. ✨
