I love seeing posts like this....but I also hate (and really try hard not to read them) the negative comments that go with them from people who just don't get it.

Don't do it. Don't read it! Don't let them win.

Do all you can instead to lift women and girls up in all and every sport and cheer for them when they get success.
No matter how big or small, they need your support.

What do you do to help girls and women rise up in sport..big or small? Tell me....

Walk Works officially started a year ago and in the last year, we have had the pleasure of taking 600 walkers, on 56 walks, covering 383 km, wow 🌿

We have met brilliant people, formed firm friendships, supported lots of excellent local businesses all while enjoying nature and enhancing our physical and mental health.

We think walking really does work and we love our little community.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us in the last year and we look forward to welcoming many more of you in the year ahead 🌿💚

TUESDAY SUMMER NIGHTS

Cricket for Women and Girls every Tuesday night at Kidmore End Cricket Club!

I can't tell you how much fun Kidmore End Cricket Taster was last Tuesday and what a friendly environment it was for women to try this out for the very first time.

This is truly a great way to get active and boost your confidence in your ability to play sport. It really is suitable for absolutely everyone!

Girls cricket is on for 8-15 year olds - 6pm - 7:30pm
Women's Cricket 6:30-7:30pm

Its £20 for a whole summers subscription to the club and you can come and try it for free on your first go! What an absolute bargain. Its appreciated that everyone is busy too so don't worry if you cant make every week.

So how about it - grab a mate and come along!

Bars open afterwards too! It is a beautiful place to be on a summers night.

CRICKET - what a HIT

I can honestly say this was such a fun night and great activity to get involved in. We laughed alot and learnt alot too.

What a fantastic summer activity! This is perfect for all abilities and especially brilliant for women looking to get more active in life!

Ladies.....stop doing everything under the sun for your kids and nothing for yourself.

We have a walk/run and a continuous run planned but we adapt on the day depending on runners needs.

Meeting at Mapledurham Playing Fields (in the main car park car park / top of the path that runs through the middle) at 7PM!

Two usual groups - a walk/run and a continuous! This is road running (not trail) in case you were wondering.

CALLING ALL WOMEN AND GIRLS!

DRINKS AT THE CRICKET GROUND - AND MAYBE A BIT OF CRICKET TOO!

At LifeSport Women we LOVE getting women and girls into sport and activities!

That's why we are promoting this fantastic event hosted by Kidmore End Cricket club on the evening of Tuesday April 19th.

No experience of cricket is needed, in fact its expected! So why not come along, bring a friend, have a great night out the house and enjoy learning a bit about the game.

On the night there is also a girl's cricket taster available for girls age 8-15 so why not being you daughter or niece along too.

An amazingly enjoyable Reading Half Marathon which was made even better with the incredible support from friends, family and total strangers!

The love you get from the supporters (and sweets from the kiddies) along the way really keeps you going! Absolutely loved it!

Big thanks to my amazing husband and incredible coach Matt Hooper for getting me back to running and for surprising me about 5 times on the route!
