It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Gerwyn Hughes over the weekend.
Gerwyn was a deeply valued member of the Taibach RFC family, having served the club faithfully both as a former player and an ex-committee man and Club Panto stalwart.
His dedication to the club will not be forgotten, and he will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family and friends at this difficult time. Details of the funeral arrangements will be shared when known.

Are you a qualified First Aider looking for hands-on experience in a dynamic sports environment? We are looking for a reliable, passionate individual to join our team for essential Match Day Cover!

If you thrive under the Saturday afternoon energy and want to be a crucial part of our squad's success, we want to hear from you.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞:
As our Match Day First Aider, you’ll be the backbone of player welfare. You will work closely with our Team Manager and Coaching staff to ensure the squad is safe, prepared, and ready to win.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
Pre-game Prep: Tapings, strapping, and getting players physically ready for kick-off.
𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡-𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭: Providing immediate first aid and injury assessment during the match.
𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞: Post-game triage and advising coaching staff on player availability.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫:
Relevant qualifications in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or advanced Emergency First Aid (with sports-specific training).
Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude.
Reliability for weekend fixtures.

🟡⚫️ TAIBACH RFC PRESENTATION 2026 ⚫️🟡

As the curtain falls on the 2025/26 season following our Annual Awards Evening, we now look ahead to 2026/27 and beyond with plenty of optimism and excitement.

It was a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements, commitment and dedication shown throughout the season.

Congratulations to all of this year's award winners – thoroughly deserved recognition for their efforts in black and amber.

A huge thank you goes to every player who pulled on a Taibach jersey this season, along with the coaches, volunteers, committee members, supporters and sponsors who continue to make the club what it is.

Finally, a special mention for a special award. Team Manager Rob Shaw was presented the coveted Life Membership Award. A true Club Man and a very well deserved award 👏

The season may be over, but the work continues.

🏉 THE WORK NEVER STOPS ~ PRESEASON IS HERE! 🏉

The presentation night might be wrapped up and the trophies and awards handed out, but what about behind the scenes? Well the grind hasn't stopped for a single second. The background work and preparation continue unabated as we build for a massive season ahead!
It’s time to lace up the boots and get back to business.
