Meet Theo Birkinshaw!

Theo from Kirkby-in-Ashfield has been selected as one of Lord's Taverners' Youth Ambassadors for 2026-2028.

His voice will help ensure the participants on Tavs' programmes, such as the Ashfield Wicketz session on which he coaches, are represented, heard and empowered.

On 13th September, Access Sport will be bringing their nationally recognised training to Trent Bridge in partnership with Trent Bridge Community Trust and the ECB.

These courses are available to Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire-based coaches and club officials to help increase knowledge around Disability provision and Neurodivergence in cricket.

Courses are:

• Disability Inclusion Training - 10am-1pm - Introduction to adapting and developing Inclusive cricket sessions

• Neurodivergence Inclusion Training - 2pm-5pm - Information about Neurodivergence and practical ideas to create inclusive and welcoming environments.

Our Community Coach Lillimae Severn and her partner Owen are running the London Marathon in tribute to her late friend and Kirkby Portland Cricket Club team-mate Connor Flemming.

Lillimae is aiming to raise £5,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The newly-formed Notts Over 60s teams are having a terrific debut season!

They have progressed to the semi-finals of the Seniors County Championship Cup, where they will face Middlesex Over 60s at Papplewick & Linby CC on Tuesday.

The match starts at 1.00pm and admission is free if you would like to show your support!
