You all looked amazing receiving your new belts — and even better wearing them with pride. Promotions aren’t “just a belt”; they’re proof of the hours you’ve put in, the discipline you’ve shown, and the way you’ve supported your teammates on the mats.

Closed guard, sleeves secured, collars loaded.
In this 10-second clip, our student shows a clean double collar choke from closed guard: break the posture, feed the second grip deep, then tighten everything with your legs and elbows until the tap comes.

It’s a great example of Gracie Barra fundamentals done properly: control first, pressure second, finish last.

A massive well done to all of our kids who received a promotion recently. These were well due.

At Gracie Barra Bakersfield, kids’ promotions reflect more than technique. They reflect effort, attitude, respect, and consistency — turning up, listening well, being a good training partner, and keeping going even when it’s challenging.

We’re proud of every child who stepped forward and got recognised. And a big thank you to the parents and families for the support behind the scenes — it makes a real difference.
