Team ShoeBox continued an impressive season with the fourth and fifth shows of the campaign, hosting two action-packed events in a single day.

Across the double-header, the TSB team saw 22 contests take place, with 18 Team ShoeBox boxers stepping through the ropes and delivering some great entertainment and gaining valuable experience.

Out of all the bouts contested, only two results went against Team ShoeBox, highlighting the strength and depth running throughout the entire squad add the moment.

Several standout performances caught the attention of those in attendance. Zain Arfaan showcased sharp skills and energy on his way to victory, while Rian White produced a polished, tidy, and disciplined performance. Alfie Lamb impressed with a return to winning ways in a determined display, while Kallum Fosu-Adu demonstrated his strength and control in the ring.

Tye Loureiro and Mij Amin had both been out of the ring for some time but delivered excellent winning performances on their returns.

Jayden Rossi also earned a notable victory, with powerful body punches on display throughout his contest.

It was another great day for the team, with the talent and commitment throughout the squad continuing to push Team ShoeBox forward. With five shows now completed for this season and momentum firmly on side, Team ShoeBox look ahead with optimism as preparations for the end-of-season box cups now take centre stage for the amateur team.

Final shows of the season for Team ShoeBox - A new venue for us at St. James working men’s club.

⏰ The skills show will take place from 11:30 till around 13:30 and shortly followed by the competitive action of an open show from 14:00 until 17:30.

🥊 A chance for our up-and-coming boxers to step into the ring to gain vital experience and showcase their hard work and determination.

It’s that time of year where enquiries come flooding in from people looking to get fit, try something new, change their habits or achieve a particular goal.

If you’re new to boxing you probably wouldn’t realise, but it’s imperative to find the right training centre when starting out.

Ensure governance is solid: there should be qualified, in-date coaches; up to date first aid-certified instructors; valid insurances should be in place; accessible first aid equipment with a working defibrillator; all gym’s should have robust safeguarding and welfare policies in place and DBS checks carried out on ALL coaches.

It’s important to our coaches that everyone starts out learning proper fundamentals, improve with consistency and have as many enjoyable safe experiences as possible in our sport - no matter their goals.

All credible coaches want our sport to grow, and engage with as many people as possible, but safely & competently - so please, do your due diligence when choosing a gym for 2026.

We offer sessions to suit almost any busy lifestyle at our Duston training base, where we have a fully qualified friendly team of certified coaches that are there to support and push you, but equally all drills/sessions are time based so you can learn, develop & improve at your own pace, without pressure.
