Huge news 🥳

🏆 CONGRATULATIONS CARRIE! 🏏👏

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Carrie Burrows has won the ECB Steelbacks Newcomer of the Year Award! 🎉

The award recognises Carrie’s outstanding contribution to our club, particularly the incredible work she has done in setting up and developing our new Women & Girls section, alongside her fantastic management of our ever-growing All Stars programme.

Of course, none of this happens alone. Supported by a fantastic team of coaches, volunteers and helpers, Carrie has brought people together and created something really special. The enthusiasm, commitment and teamwork shown by everyone involved has helped make both programmes such a success.

But at the heart of it has been Carrie’s drive, organisation and determination to make things happen, and this award is thoroughly deserved. 👏

And it doesn’t stop there… 👀

By winning the Steelbacks award, Carrie will now be entered into the National ECB competition recognising outstanding volunteers from across the country! 🏏🏆

A fantastic achievement and brilliant recognition for Carrie, her team and our club.

First fundraiser of the year. Anyone can have a go....

🏏 *SCHCC Fundraiser* 🏏

Our annual Sports Quiz is taking place this Friday at St Crispin Social Club, and as always it’s our first fundraiser of the year.

This year we’re doing something a little different with a *Random Numbers Draw* – a format the social club runs every Christmas and one that’s proven to be a big success!

🎟️ *Entry Prices*
• £1 for *10 numbers*
• £5 for *50 numbers*
• £10 for *100 numbers*
• £20 for *200 numbers*

💰 Prize Fund
The prize fund starts at £250, made up of:
• 2 × £100 prizes
• 1 × £50 prize

The more numbers we sell, the *bigger the payout* 👀

Once payment is made via the links, your numbers will be added to our spreadsheet.
The draw will take place live at the SCHCC Sports Quiz on Friday.

For the upcoming 2026 season and beyond. We’re looking for both qualified umpires and those ex players wanting to give back to the game and get involved with their local cricket club.
