πŸ† AWARD WINNERS πŸ†

Our final two awards were voted on by the committee.

πŸ… Club Member of the Year - Jimmy Fothergill
Well and truly the club's number 1 handyman. There is very little Jimmy can't turn his hand to, whether it was last season's hard work with the players lounge refurb outside of his day job or this year replacing doors in the changing rooms this year. But he's not just a joiner, he has made huge commitment to help the ladies team both at training every Wednesday come rain or shine, and on game days - willingly being on the receiving end of endless tackles in aid of their improvement. Add an events organiser to the ever growing list of skills, without his hard work Dicko's testimonial match wouldn't have been the day it was.

πŸ₯‡ Club Player of the Year - Will Robinson
He's made quite the impression in his first full senior season. To be recognised by your own teammates for the hard work he has put in throughout the year is special. Will's effort both on the pitch and on the training ground has been noticeable this season, keeping forwards in check and linking them up with the backs from scrum half. From all of the committee, a huge well done Will!

πŸ† AWARD WINNERS πŸ†

Now to the 1st XV, a mixed season but marked improvements from the start to the finish, ending things with a Cup final

πŸ₯‡ Player of the Year - Will Robinson
Will may come across quiet and unassuming but was a huge asset to the team and took well to bossing the forwards in such a key position. His first full senior season and he's made tackles on men twice his size like it's nothing only just jump back up and make the next one too

πŸ‰ Coaches Player - Jack Tart
A tough first season as 1st XV Captain but he pushes hard every week with optimism and a real want to win finding positives in the game even in the face of a couple of heavy defeats. He's covered a few positions this season showing just how versatile he can be! Maybe just work on the drop goal accuracy?

πŸ’ͺ🏼 Workhorse - Billy Burgin
Billy has been an excellent addition to the team this season and the Workhorse award could not fit better. His dogged determination in both defence and attack proved vital in key games stopping attackers dead, making key turnovers and was rewarded with a good brace of tries for his efforts

πŸ† AWARD WINNERS πŸ†

Next up we've got the ladies team, and what a season they've had!

πŸ₯‡ Player of the Year - Ellie Readman
New to the team at the beginning of this season, scoring a hattrick in her first game she really made herself known from the word go. She has been an absolute lifesaver playing out of position all season taking on the 10 shirt for us and the stats really show for themselves!

πŸ‰ Coaches player - Trinity Earnshaw
She's got fitness. She's got pace. She's got strength. Trin probably scored at least half of her trys this season from a lethal show and go, spotting half a gap and sending the opposition in the other direction while she sneaks through and outpaces and would-be tacklers. Certainly up there in the ranks of the most dominant tackles made for the ladies this season too. Is there anything she can't do?

πŸ’ͺ🏼 Workhorse - Gina Fothergill
Gina has shown huge commitment to the team all season. Every training session come rain or shine you can guarantee she will be there. The only player to play every minute of every game plus all of her work behind the scenes. She leads by example every game, putting in huge hits and running strong lines for the full match

πŸ“ˆ Most Improved - Amy Parker
Blink and you'll miss her, Amy has pace for days and has finally started to back herself with it, flying past players, making them look like they're standing still. But it's not just her attack that's improved, the tackles she puts in each week are unreal with absolutely no regard for her body!

Kicking off with our 2nd XV award winners

πŸ₯‡ Player of the Year - Jack Radcliffe
A huge presence on the pitch despite being the smallest man there. Jack has massively stepped up as a leader this year both on and off the pitch and clearly the rest of the team have noticed!

πŸ’ͺ🏼Workhorse - Jim Duggleby
Returning to the club after a number of years out, he's come back and been a huge grafter across the pitch, particularly in the lineouts showing that maybe white men can jump?

πŸ“ˆ Most Improved - Will Barker
Will came to the club at the start of pre-season keen to get back into rugby after many years away. Featuring in both the 1st and 2nd team, in nearly every position in the pack. He's made a real impact in games using his power in both attack and defence, he's grown in confidence as the season has gone on and now he is one of the first names on the team sheet each week
