Severn Valley Stages Report;
Let’s put it this way we had all 4 seasons in one day, lovely blue skies, wind & rain and even some snow to throw a spanner in the works.
Cpl G Martin & Tpr C Webb come away with back to back wins to take a 5 point lead in the championship, Martin said at the end of rally “it’s really nice to have this buffer going into the rest of season, I’ve never seen conditions like it from bone dry in stage 1 to snow in 3 & 4 was crazy”
Pte J Harris & Mne G Benson retired with mechanical issues at the end of stage 5, her reaction was “extremely disappointed to end like this felt like I was finally getting to grips with the car in changeable conditions but that’s rallying”
LCpl A Wilcock & LCpl C Leaf also retiring at the end of stage 1 with fuel issues his reaction “extremely disappointing day overall was going really well until it wasn’t with the car cutting out on the last few corners, we thought we had sorted the issue but it again cut out on the road section and we just couldn’t get it going again”
Next up for the team we head up to Scotland for the sealed stuff for the
