Hills4Leni 🏔️ 200km. 72 hours. Marching the toughest terrain in the UK.

A few weeks ago we launched an urgent campaign to raise awareness and funds to give our sweet little Leni the best possible chance of accessing a promising experimental treatment that could potentially save her life.

£200,000 is the estimated cost for one child to access treatment for one year. Leni will need this treatment every week for life.

We are desperate to achieve and exceed this target to give Leni and as many other children suffering with this awful condition access to the treatment they so desperately need.

Leni’s Dad, Godfather and two others who love Leni dearly are taking on a gruelling uphill challenge to help raise the funds and awareness to make Leni’s uphill battle a little easier.

From 4-6 March, they will be running/hiking/marching/crawling a 200km ultra through the Brecon Beacons in Wales. The route will comprise multiple iconic marches known in military circles as some of the toughest in the UK. This deliberately removes recovery periods, placing emphasis on endurance, resilience, navigation and sustained teamwork.

This will be incredibly challenging, but is nothing compared to what Leni will face in her lifetime.

We know many of you have already donated, so if you aren’t able to donate please please please share absolutely anywhere and everywhere you can to raise maximum awareness!

Royal Artillery Field Gun Crew 2025

It takes 26 legends to make a Field Gun Crew. This year we were joined by members of the Royal Signals, Royal Engineers and AGC (SPS) - Each adding their own skills, strengths and knowledge of the sport.

We had 3 weeks of hard training - The crew returned to our birthplace in Woolwich for 2 weeks; we trained hard and learnt the rules and drills of the sport.

Then, we moved to Portsmouth - Drill became slick and seconds were polished off of our times.

We achieved our goal and came 4th in the Plate 1 Final!

Thank you to all who have supported us. From the Commanding Officers who released their people, the families who endured Field Gun chat for weeks on end, and the charities who sponsored us to allow us to run.

A special thanks to .massage.uk for being the crew Mum/Aunt/Massage Therapist/Medic/Counsellor and snack bringer!!

See you all in 2026.

Commence The Run!

The Royal Artillery Field Gun Crew were joined by the Regtl Colonel on Saturday as our VIP for the RNRMC Field Gun Competition!

This was his first time seeing Field Gun in the flesh. But, quickly got to grips with the weird and wonderful terminology of the event!

As part of the event, VIPs are given the chance to start the various heats. Col Paddy was given the chance to start the race whilst our Field Gunners were on the track!

He also presented the Field Gunner of the Year trophy to the second fastest wheelie in all the land, Niall Baldwin from !

Thanks for coming Sir! We will see you in the village next year!

Out, Back and Home.

3 weeks ago, the crew started their Field Gun journey.

In Woolwich, we learnt the basics: Box builds, Box Drops and the infamous "Heavy lift". The crew built on these skills, becoming faster and cleaner.

In Collingwood, we perfected our trade: Looking at the milliseconds and the small details which make for the perfect run.

The hard work paid off. We achieved 4th in the Plate 1 final (10th overall).

The Gunners will return in 2026.

18 as one.

Nearly 3 weeks of hard training will come to an end this afternoon. The crew will start competing in the heats against the 16 other crews in the Field Gun Competition.

There has been blood, sweat and tears all around. There has been highs and lows.

2 more track training sessions, 7 heats and a final. If it were easy, everyone would do it.

Good luck Gunners.

We gave her a chance to see a run. As well as firing the gun!!
