You may have seen a group of young litter pickers around the village this afternoon 🗑️ 🧤

The Poppleton FC U10 girls team is a new team, and the girls are raising money to put towards costs such as kit, equipment, winter pitch hire etc.

If you’d like to sponsor them as a thank you for helping to keep Poppleton tidy, they’d be very grateful! They did so well, and we have another group of girls doing some more litter picking in the village soon! 😊

On Sunday, u10s Tigers did a sponsored walk to raise money to help with kits, training gear and training facilities. The plan was to walk the 9 miles between all the schools that the Team attended....

In seriously hot weather the boys did it, and it turned out the route was actually 10 miles!!!

Well done to everyone who did the walk, raised money and donated. An incredible effort all round!

Beers, soft drinks and were well earned at the Old Grey Mare afterwards (thank you for booking us some space).

U10 Tigers are doing a 9 miles walk to help raise money for new kits, training gear and summer training. The boys are walking between all of their schools on 12th July; Rufforth to Poppleton Ousebank to Carr to St Peter's with a cheeky finish at the Old Grey Mare for fried chicken.

Last year we had held our 1st club presentation day since before Covid and we were rewarded with glorious sunshine. This year...

We fought off the rain as 19 junior teams celebrated their 2025/26 seasons. It was great to see so many smiling faces as the girls and boys received medals, trophies, guzzled snow cones and took part in the Total Sports Limited provided assault courses, nerf, dodgeball and football darts.

Thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered in the Tigers Den, helped tidy up and brought positivity to the day.

Special thank you to the managers and coaches across all of our teams. Grassroots football doesn't happen without volunteers like you who give up so much time and effort.
