🌟 Appreciation Awards 🌟

This year we have introduced Appreciation Awards for each of our CLTH Young People and staff! At the beginning of the year (or when somebody new starts), we put all of our names on a lollipop stick, each Tuesday we pick one out by random and then everyone has a week to add a kind word to the whiteboard about the chosen young person or coach! 🖊️ ❤️

✨ It is a gorgeous way to encourage and spread kindness
✨ Everyone will get one and it is not reward based so it takes away the worry of ‘I wonder if I will do enough to get one?’
✨ At the end of the week, all of the words are put together in a horse shaped word cloud that makes an Appreciation Award to take home - how lovely to read so many kind words written about YOU ❤️

CLtH have had a great time easing back into things. We have enjoyed getting back on our horses and riding in groups. This week lots of us focused on our 3 loop serpentines ✨

In our life skill we really went for it last week and took advantage of our wonderful Abi and her crocheting skills 🧶 It was a challenge but it really helped us build on our perseverance, confidence and communication skills 💥

🐴 WEEKEND HELPERS WANTED! 🐴

Aged 12+ and love being around horses?

Wirral Riding Centre is looking for enthusiastic weekend volunteer helpers who already have some horse experience and would like to gain even more hands-on experience working on a busy yard.

🌟 WHAT YOU’LL GAIN
🐎 Valuable practical horse-care experience
🧹 Learn more about working on a busy riding-school yard
🤝 Work alongside our experienced team
🎓 Develop your confidence and horse knowledge
🏇 Earn group rides in return for helping

WHO CAN APPLY?

You must be:
• 12 years old or over
• Confident and sensible around horses and ponies
• Reliable and willing to get stuck in
• Available to help at weekends
• Already have some practical horse experience

✅ COMPETENCY TRIAL

Before joining our weekend helper team, everyone must attend a Tuesday evening trial session at Wirral Riding Centre.

This allows our team to assess your current experience and make sure you're competent and safe carrying out suitable yard tasks.
