TREC GB has today confirmed the riders and horses that will travel to the 2026 World TREC Championships that are being held in Barcelona, Spain in September.

Caroline Brammer (Broomcroft Sweet Meadow Maisie), Kirsty Adams (Quantum Aurora) and Kate Gillam (riding a Spanish based horse) will form the Senior Team. Hilary Barnard (Mallards Wood Aquilla) will contest the new Veteran Class and Jacob Simpson (Sioni) will contest the Young Rider class. The riders and horses will be ably looked after throughout the trip and the competition by Chef d’Equipe Dorothy Still.

The long trip to Barcelona will start at the end of August, with the riders arriving in time for horses to recover and for everyone to get their bearings before the start of the competition on Thursday the 3rd of September.

You can follow the Team on their journey on the GB TREC Team page.

We wish them all the best of British luck!

Traceur comment on the POR: So pleased so many of you really enjoyed the courses. Sorry the results took a while but it was because i had put so many tickets out. If you missed the correct one there was a good chance of getting an incorrect one which I hadn't always realised i should "pair" in the scoring system. I can only thank Mike Messenger and Polly Lloyd Owen for their patience and persistence in correcting the situation and removing the incorrect double penalties that resulted. I also managed to put out ticket 76 where 78 should have been and vice versa πŸ™„ - causing additional agony in the scoring caravan. Apologies to everyone. I hope the explanation and apology eases the pain.

I think having lots of tickets gave good quality to the POR and separated the meanderers from navigators! But i can see i must make other adjustments as well when i do this (if i ever do traceur another event!😐- my husband threatens divorce if i even think of it. Apart from the hours i spent, he was out for hours walking and driving miles for us managing tickets)

Help!! We are desperately in need of more helpers for our Sunnybanc Animal Feeds Welsh TREC Champs on Saturday 6th June on the Gower. No need to be horsey! Mostly we just need people managing gates for riders because of increased bio-security due to the equine flu surge. If you want to sit in a pretty, tranquil spot, listening to the birds and seeing the occasional horse... please get in touch. A few hours is fine if that's all you can manage. We will be very grateful :)
