🌲 Woodland Squirrels: Thursday Update 🐿️
What a magical way to finish our week! The children created the most stunning natural tie-dye masterpieces using a beautiful, hand-mixed pink blackberry and elderberry dye. It was wonderful welcoming everyone back to the woods! The group jumped straight back into all their favourite forest school adventures—conquering the pulleys, splashing in the mud and water kitchen, experimenting with spray bottles, soaring on the swings, and so much more. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for such a joyful morning

It was wonderful to welcome back our Exploring Rabbits family after the long summer break, alongside some fantastic new faces! We jumped straight back into the rhythm of forest life. After a welcoming walk through the trees, the children created natural dye using foraged blackberries to colour bunting flags. The energy was high as some of our group practiced their tool skills, sawing up firewood for next week’s campfire cooking. We also launched a mini wildlife project: a handmade hedgehog footprint tunnel! We’re all incredibly eager to check the ink papers next week to see who came to visit.

🐿️Woodland Squirrels Monday Update! 🐿️
We had the absolute best time welcoming everyone back this morning! To celebrate the start of autumn, we focused on the wonderful blackberry and crafted some fantastic tie-dye bunting to take home. Our new families got to know the woods through a fun forest trail and scavenger hunt, while everyone dived right back into plenty of water play and our classic Forest School activities. It was the perfect start to the new term—thank you for joining us

Monday: Woodland Squirrels (Ages 0 to 5) from 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM
Tuesday: Exploring Rabbits (Ages 5 to 11, specifically for home-educated children) from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Thursday: Woodland Squirrels (Ages 0 to 5) from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Our group offers a unique stay-and-play experience designed to help children connect with nature and each other. Each week features exciting themes, walks, campfires, and activities using natural resources. It is the perfect environment for children to play, build lasting friendships, and develop new skills.

⛈️ Summer Holiday Camp – Last Day! ⛈️Our final day started with a literal bang! A dramatic morning thunderstorm cleared up just in time for the kids to arrive in the fresh, pouring rain. Far from being dampened, they were absolutely thrilled—jumping in puddles, sliding, swinging, and laughing the whole morning away!Of course, rainy days and deep puddles call for one thing: boat making. We tied together recycled corks from ###x to create all kinds of floating vessels, and the kids had a fantastic time racing and testing them out.The rest of the afternoon was spent exploring our newly sparkling, raindrop-covered forest. We gathered around to make campfire treats, roasting popcorn and sugar apples, before weaving last-day friendship bracelets together. We wrapped up an unforgettable summer with plenty of muddy cuddles for our final goodbye! 🌲✨🍿

☀️ Summer Holiday Camp: Week 3, Day 3! 🪵We kicked off today with some forest magic, stripping bark to make our own charcoal. The kids loved learning about the process and were amazed to see it actually work!Later, the group split up for some high-energy games of Capture the Flag, while others got creative in the mud kitchen and enjoyed free forest play.The highlight of the afternoon? Teamwork turned into deliciousness as we made campfire doughnuts! 🍩 We wrapped up an amazing day with a classic campfire treat: gooey s’mores. 🍫🔥

Summer Holiday Camp - week 3 - day 1 - we were back in camp for day 1 of our last week! To celebrate we melted chocolate to make chocolate sprinklers, before we made ladybird bracelets with beetroot paint & palm drills. We sawed up wood for the campfire, went on a trail & also made friendship bracelets. There was hammock play, alongside all of our favourite forest school activities

☀️ Summer Family Stay & Play — Day 2! What a beautifully full, fun-filled family session! We absolutely loved welcoming so many families to the forest. It was wonderful watching our regular adventurers show their older and younger siblings around their favourite space. Together, families enjoyed:⛵ Cork Boat Making: Crafting tiny vessels from corks, cocktail sticks, and leaves, then watching them set sail across the turf tray sea! Navigating trails and completing scavenger hunts. Our campfire was also lit for a shorter time, following thorough safety prep the day before to keep the area completely secure for everyone. Thank you all so much for your incredible support — we had the absolute best time!

Summer Holiday Camp - week 2 day 3 - what a great end to our holiday Camps this week. We were given some giant pinecones by and with great delight the children transformed them into beautiful owls & hedgehogs. We also mixed up our own natural paints to explore artwork, made friendship bracelets, structured the biggest drainpipe runs, and played in the wonderful forest. See you next week

house today & what fun we had together. We made berry tie dye flags, worked with tool to make a few bug houses, whittled, worked with different types of wool to create rainbow coloured cats eyes & forest worry dolls all to take home. With lots of new friendships & new memories made, we cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings
