We have fully qualified Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA) Coaches on site who can coach from the ground up - whether you are new to horses or you have been playing polo for years, our dedicated team are here to help. We are located less than 9 minutes from Junction 7 (Harlow) of the M11, less than 16 minutes from Epping Underground Station, less than 20 minutes from Stansted Airport and less than 7 minutes to Harlow Train Station (London Liverpool Street 28 minutes).

*Winter grooming positions available*

We are looking for competent grooms to join us at Hertfordshire Polo Academy based at Silver Leys Polo Club, Hertfordshire.

Taking good care of the horses, prepping them for lessons and matches, keeping horses fit / yard duties etc.

Lots going on at a thriving club, from event weekends, equestrian entertainment, shows and of course polo matches.

Working hours can be flexible including evening and weekend lessons and matches.

Polo experience not essential, but excellent horse care with a willingness to learn the ropes in polo.

Good rates of pay (dependent on experience).

Potential for year round work.

Hertfordshire Polo Academy are joining forces with to return to Chestertons pitch invasion on Sunday 7th June 2026

Join us on the wooden horses to learn how to hit the ball, watch the spectacular and of course, enjoy some fantastic polo.

Amo, an infamous polo horse in many circles. Very sweet and intelligent. 16 year old dark bay mare.
Excitable on a polo pitch, otherwise calm, easy to do, wonderful to hack, wants to explore with you.
She is not a plod along. Her polo pitch temperament means she will give 100% and at her age and mileage we feel it would be best to retire her completely from polo. She is strictly not for polo and to be cared for and in turn care for someone. A special horse. 2,500 carrots. Please do not message on Facebook but email [email protected]
