✨Great Hadham Seniors’ Section Charity Cheque Presentation ✨
Following the successful Charity Golf Day organised by the Seniors’ Section of Great Hadham Country Club, four members of the Seniors’ Section committee met with Ellie Gale and Nancy Hynes of St Clare Hospice to present a cheque for £8,770.10 raised at the Charity Golf Day run by the Section.
Trevor Steggles, Seniors’ Section Captain said, ‘we were delighted by the support received from our club members who played on the day, their generosity was just incredible, supporting local charities is important for our members, and St Clare carries out tremendous work in our area. ‘I never thought I’d play again if I couldn’t see, but Blind Golf’s given me a new lease of life’

Bishop's Stortford man Alex Blundell, 34, who suffers from a rare genetic eye disorder that will eventually leave him blind, raised £2,000 for England & Wales Blind Golf with a charity golf day at Great Hadham Country Club

Ladies Triumph in Great Hadham Country Club Seniors’ Section Charity Golf Day.

The Seniors’ Section of Great Hadham Country Club held their 12th annual Charity Golf Day on 28th May, this year the charity selected by the committee was St Clare Hospice. 128 players teed off in a shotgun start and proceeded to play 18 holes of golf in very warm conditions, this was followed by lunch and a charity Auction and raffle, the activities raised £8,770.

The winners on the day were the ladies team comprising Debra Readshaw, Caron Reader, Claire Wiltsher and Jane Crocker. Ellie Gale, the Relationship Fundraising Manager at St Clare commented: We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in and supported the Great Hadham Senior Section Charity Golf Day. Raising over £8,700 is a remarkable achievement, and every pound will make a real difference to the patients and families we care for. Community events like this play a vital role in helping us continue to provide compassionate, specialist support when it matters most, and we simply couldn’t do it without the generosity and dedication of our supporters. 🏌️‍♂️⛳️
