🤘🏼And the U13 wagon keeps on rolling!!

💪 Another really solid performance tonight vs St Asaph and a valuable 4 points on a night when the weather threatened to derail us.

🏐 Bowling first, we kept it really tight and chipped away at the wickets, restricting them to 81/6 off 18 overs. Wickets for Macsen, Marty and Harry F but star of the show was Ozzy with a brilliant 3 for 7 off his 2 overs.

🧤Also a mention for Geth who hasn’t kept wicket for a while and did really well behind the stumps!

🏏In reply, we scored quickly, Tom batted excellently for 19 before before Harry ‘Not out’ Ferrier scored a brisk 32!

⭐️ He was ably supported by Ozzy who finished 19 not out in a player of the match performance.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Thank you to all the parents who helped with covers, cones, ropes, etc, it really is appreciated!! Also a big thank you to the away team for travelling and the coaches who supported a great game!

💚 Mold win at home in the Flintshire Cup knockout!

💪 Another great performance tonight versus Gwersyllt.

🧤Bowling first, we restricted them to just 75/7 off 20 overs. Wickets for Macsen, Tom, Harry C and run outs for Zach and Jimmy.

🏏 In response, we started slowly but patiently and Gwersyllt bowled really well. Harry retired on 25 and then Jimmy reached the same score as he hit the winning runs with about 4-5 overs to spare.

💪 Onto the next round and back in action on Thursday vs St Asaph!

🙌🏼 Well done team, another great game! Thanks to the parents and carers for supporting the children and the opposition for travelling to us.

💚 Mold Warriors took their unbeaten record to Denbigh last night but the home side prevailed taking, 10 wickets compared to our 4.

☝🏼Denbigh had a strong bowling attack but it was their fielding that caught us off guard with 3 direct hit run outs inside the first 4 overs.

🏏 Mold recovered well with excellent batting from Finn & Catrin who were the top scoring pair, with Iago and Ellis at the end getting us to a team total of 275.

🧤Mold followed Denbighs fielding with 2 run outs of our own and 2 wickets taken by Aled and Harvey. Accurate bowling by the rest of the side saw both teams finishing level on runs scored, but Denbigh took the win having taken more wickets.

📍A good learning experience for Warriors, you can’t win them all and some balls we just need to defend.

⭐️ the players are continuing to learn and it was great to see so much fun and team spirit being shown by both sides.

💪 A very strong performance last night by our mighty Mold Fire against a strong Ruthin side.

🧤 Bowling first, we took a wicket with first ball from James, followed by consistent wickets throughout from George (2), Jack W (2), Noah, Iestyn and a double wicket maiden from Rory.

🏐 The whole team bowled brilliantly with very few wides/ no balls and a great catch from Noah too!

🏏 With the bat, all 4 partnerships contributed with Rory/ Noah, George/ Iestyn, James/ Jack and Dewi/ Owen scoring 37, 27, 38, 29 respectively.

🙌🏼 A great win boys. Very happy coaches!

📣BREAKING NEWS! Coach Kev to provide extra biscuits 🤭

💚 Mold U9s “Green Army” faced St Asaph and Northop in Northop this week.

🏏 There were lots of runs scored, plenty of quick running between the wickets and diving stops on the boundary! Great to see the bowling becoming more accurate with fabulous star shapes!

⭐️ Thanks to Catrin for helping the players practice whilst waiting.

🍪 A major outrage was brought to Coach Kev’s attention by a delegation of players - no biscuits! Fortunately the biscuits were being hidden from the home team to ensure there were enough for the visitors! Crisis averted 🤣😋
