On Saturday 5th September, our team completed a brilliant First Aid course delivered by Richard Stuart from TT Safety Solutions.

Come along for a fantastic evening of live music as we celebrate the life and legacy of Paul "Peo" Pearson through some of the bands he played with.

Acklam 12 Stockton 50

Acklam fight hard, but Stockton run out comfortable winners

Acklam fought hard, competed very well up front, but were outclassed out wide by a very good Stockton team.

The visitors scored at regular intervals throughout the match, running in 8 tries. Acklam gave it their all, remained competitive, and probably had the edge in the scrums.

Acklam did get two good tries themselves, the first by Nathan Faint who cut through the visitors' defence to score.

The home team also got the final score of the match. Following good continuity Ricky Scott forced his way over the line.

However, throughout the match Acklam struggled to cope with Stockton's speed and precision, and the visitors ended up with a well deserved 12-50 win.

Congratulations to a very good Stockton team. Acklam shouldn't be too downhearted, despite being well beaten. I don't think they will come up against a better team this season and hopefully, they will do very well at level 8.

🟢⚫ WELCOME BACK | Marcus Sudron!

We’re delighted to welcome Marcus Sudron back to Acklam for the 2026/27 season.

After a season away from Acklam, Marcus has decided to come back after seeing the work the lads have been putting in throughout pre-season and what we’re building at the club.

Marcus is certainly no stranger to Acklam, having spent over 10 years at the club. He was also part of the unbeaten 2018 side that won Durham & Northumberland Division Two, the last time Acklam competed at this level.

Able to cover both centre and fly-half, Marcus brings plenty of experience and quality to what is an exciting young backline.

Welcome back, Marcus. It’s great to have you back in the black and green.

🟢⚫ NEW SIGNING | Welcome, Ossie Pollard!

We’re delighted to welcome Ossie Pollard to Acklam ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Ossie is a young scrum-half who has joined up with the squad a little later in pre-season, but he’s wasted no time getting himself up to speed and is already showing his class.

With a great pass and a real rugby brain, Ossie controls the game well from nine and certainly isn’t scared to boss the forwards around. For a smaller lad, he’s also not afraid to put his body on the line when he needs to.

A big Acklam welcome to Ossie. We’re looking forward to seeing him in the black and green this season.
