In light of Mental Health Awareness Week, we’ve been speaking to members in the gym about the positive impact training can have on mental health. 💚

She doesn’t like being in the limelight, but this definitely deserves a mention.
Last night our very own Sheena passed the final stage of becoming a fully qualified England Boxing supervisor
Anyone who knows our gym knows just how valuable she is to us all… to the point that 99% of the answers in the gym are usually “ask Sheena” 🤣
She’s worked hard on this since the start of the season, putting the time and effort in around everything else she does for the club.
Massive congratulations champ, very well deserved.

Some of my favourite pictures from boxing shows are from the moments where people think you ain’t watching.
We’re a gym made up of carded boxers and recreational boxers. What works in our gym might not work in others and vice versa
Boxing isn’t just about what happens in the ring either, It builds confidence, gives people structure, improves physical and mental health, and creates a positive outlet, especially for young people
The wins are great, but it’s the unseen moments that really define us.
