The consultation on banning trail hunting concludes TODAY (18th) - NOW is the time to have your say!!

We must act with urgency to protect and support the traditions of the countryside, as well as jobs and livelihoods… Your vet, your farrier, your feed merchant, your saddler, your tack shop, the business that services your horsebox, your livery yard, the farm where you buy your straw!!!

It is with Great Sadness that we report the sad passing of William John Warner (Bill) of Highfields Lodge, Mears Ashby.

Bill, sadly passed away on Tuesday 5th May at Home.

Our thoughts and condolences are very much with the whole Family.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday 26th May, 2.30pm at Mears Ashby Church.

This season the number of point-to-point horses in training has dropped significantly, so for 78% of the 49 individual horses entered for the Quorn point-to-point at Garthorpe on Saturday to have declared and run is a fabulous result. Without doubt they came for the ground, and much praise goes to.....
