Matlock Town Football Club is delighted to announce the expansion of its youth development division.
The club currently runs affiliated teams from U14 to U18 and an U21 side. The aim of this expansion is to create a clear, structured, and fully affiliated player pathway for both boys and girls, supporting their enjoyment and long-term development in the game.
We are also pleased to confirm the formation of a new men's reserve side, with trials scheduled for this summer.
In addition, we are reinstating our Ladies first team. A recruitment drive for a new manager and players will begin shortly, and all former players are warmly invited to return.

The full pathway will now operate as follows:
Boys & Men:
U7 – U16 → U18 → U21 → Reserves → First Team
Girls & Ladies:
U7 – U16 → Development Squad → First Team
All teams affiliated with our club will be supported by Jamie Wajs and Ben Calpin (heads of youth development), alongside our newly appointed full-time youth development secretary, Amanda Watson. The team brings extensive experience in player development, with several players already progressing into the first team under their guidance.
All youth finances will remain completely separate from the main club and will be managed independently by the youth development team.

We invite local football clubs and teams across all age groups to affiliate with Matlock Town Football Club. This includes sides currently operating within the junior section who have previously used the club's name but who are not formally affiliated with us.
Benefits of affiliation include:
• Direct interaction with all club squads, including the First Team
• Free season tickets for first team matches for all coaching staff
• The right to purchase official club replica kits, tracksuits, and training wear at cost price via our supplier, Tag Sports
• Use of the main pitch for training and fixtures at times that do not impact the surface
• Priority access to the new artificial pitch from next summer
Our reinstated ladies first team will also benefit from free use of our training venue and the stadium for match days.
By uniting all teams under the Matlock Town banner, we believe we can grow stronger together — as a football club and as a town.
