Today Pickle did a very grown up thing. He went to his first BE. On paper not a great day, in reality he was a star. Very hot down to dressage and then settled for a lovely test (despite his mother walking at A and not K and the judge insisting I do that bit again), he got 34 with his mother’s error! Then warmed up soooo well sj. Went in and just hid into himself. Jumped fences 1-5 clear but green, then doubted himself at 5 and had both parts of the double down, plus the next fence, then pulled his confidence back out the bag and jumped the next 4 clear. Sadly, he pulled his shoe off badly sj (my farrier will not be impressed 😬), so no xc today. Parking form aside, I was thrilled with him . Thanks to the support crew who came along despite late late times 🥰
