Now that the dark chilly 🌨️evenings of autumn are here horse owners have feeding at the forefront of their minds. How do we keep horses healthy and happy whilst watching the pennies💰️?

We have a great tip from Dengie Horse Feeds supported International Dressage Rider & Trainer Hannah Esberger-Hancock:

“My horses don’t need concentrates, especially those working at lower levels. High quality fibre feeds provide more than enough slow-release energy and nutrients whilst also contributing towards my horse’s fibre intake. They take longer to chew too, so can keep the stabled horses occupied for longer.”

To lighten your winter feed bill we’ve teamed up with Dengie to offer £100 worth of feed vouchers, nutritional consultation* plus branded merchandise
*if diary and location of winner permits.

To enter answer the simple question in the comments below:
True or False
High quality fibre feeds take longer to chew so can keep stabled horses occupied for longer.

Then. . .
Give us and a follow if you haven’t already done so.

A year ago I had never heard of working equitation. Since working at Nettleton grange have seen Claire in videos competing and watched her training at home. Have really wanted to have a try.

Had the pportunity to take part in a training clinic today with Bounty and wasn't disappointed.

For anyone wanting to do something "spook busting" and to train stillness and patience I recommend having a go.

Claire is a great trainer, patient and knowledgeable and has competed at highest levels and is a level 3 Working Equitation Coach.

End of Life

Many of you will know I am working hard for BHS Stage 4 exam in February.

I learned something today the I genuinely did not know (as opposed to age related memory failure).

Delicate subject but ....

When your horse passes, legally you must return their Passport to the Issuing Organisation within 30 days of death.

Passports can be returned once processed but check with the PIO what their procedure is.
