Head of The Charles
-
Last week saw our Director of Rowing, Caleb, take on an international role in the Head of The Charles Race, a 4.8k race down the Charles river from Boston to Cambridge, Massachusetts- in an alumni boat for BB&N (Buckingham Browne & Nichols) Caleb, having not rowed for BB&N since 1992, shot down the course coming a delightful 46th with his crew !

We give him a big congratulations and well done on this achievement and amazing experience and privilege to be able to represent our club and previous at such an event.

WORLD MASTERS 2026

A huge well done to some of our Masters rowers who went to Lake Bled, Slovenia, this year for the World Rowing Masters Championship.

Contesting the poor weather, Maidstone’s name held an appearance over many categories, and events, including mixed and composite crews with Australia, Germany, Bewl, Exeter, and many others !

With a special mention to our Clive Harlow for winning the Mas H 1x, no mean feat, and incredibly, for the second year running !

World Masters is a wonderful opportunity to meet other rowers and create community between clubs, see you all next year in sunny Varese!

Dear all,

As the evenings draw in and the warm, sunny days become a distant memory, it's time to turn our attention to an old favourite: ERG season!

As we do every autumn, we're kicking things off with the Concept2 Erg Autumn Challenge, running from Tuesday 15 September to Thursday 15 October.

All you need to do between now and next Tuesday is join the MIRC team and Fall Team Challenge.

You can take part by rowing, skiing, or riding on any Concept2 equipment.

Once the challenge begins, I'll be posting weekly updates to share our progress.
Let's get those miles logged!
