After lots of fantastic entries, creative ideas, and some very tough decision-making 🤯👕, we are excited to announce that the O’BRIEN FAMILY have taken out the win! 🥇👏🎊

A huge thank you to everyone who entered. The effort, creativity, and thought that went into all the designs was amazing ❤️. Every entry was a grand effort, and we truly appreciate everyone who got involved.

The winning shirt design will be officially revealed at our Shirt Presentation Event in late August! 🎉🙌

Emails have now been sent to players in the U13s, U17 Girls, and U17 Boys age groups.

Please check your inbox (and junk/spam folder just in case) for important information regarding the next stage of trials.

Emails for the U11s, U12s, U14s, and U15s are still being finalised and will be sent out shortly.

⚽️🔥 Another Day, Another Amazing Trial! 🔥⚽️

What a fantastic afternoon of Country Week trials! We were thrilled to see another full session with so many talented young players turning up to give it their best shot.

The skill, enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship on display today were incredible. Geraldton is overflowing with talented footballers, and it’s exciting to see so many kids putting their hands up to represent our region.

A huge thank you to all the players, parents, coaches, and volunteers who continue to support the Country Week program. The future of football in Geraldton is looking very bright, and 2026 is shaping up to be a huge year for our kids! 🌟⚽️

A reminder that Country Week trials for our U15 Boys, U17 Girls and U17 Boys will be held tomorrow from 3:30pm – 4:30pm at GBSC.

✅ Trials are open to all players
✅ Registration is required

Please register via the link provided, or come and find me on the day and we can complete a registration form before trials begin.

⚽️🙌 WOW! What a phenomenal turnout for our Country Week trials this morning! 🙌⚽️

It was fantastic to see so many players come along, give it their all, and put their hand up for a chance to represent Geraldton. 💙💛

Was it busy? Absolutely! 😅
Was it hectic? Definitely! 🤪
But most importantly, it was FUN, and everything ran smoothly without a hitch! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to all the players, parents, coaches, and our amazing GJSA Committee. 👏 Your patience, support, hard work, and teamwork made the morning such a success.

Many hands make light work, and today was a perfect example of that. We couldn’t do it without you all! 💙⚽️

⚽️🔥 TRIAL TIME IS SO SO CLOSE 🔥⚽️

Please arrive 10 minutes early for your trial session as it’s expected to be busy.

🚗 A friendly reminder to all drivers: Please take extra care when driving through the GCC driveway and keep an eye out for children at all times.

📝 While trials play an important part in the selection process, they are only one piece of the puzzle. Coaches have already been scouting players during games and training sessions and will continue to watch several more matches before teams are finalised and announced.

This ensures selections are based on consistent performance, attitude, effort, teamwork, and commitment across the season.

We can’t wait to see everyone there! Bring your energy, your smile, and your best effort! 💙🩵⚽️

💨🌧️ COUNTRY WEEK TRIALS CANCELLED 🌧️💨

I’m absolutely gutted to be making this call, and I know many of you will be feeling the same.

This weather has been an absolute pain, but with weather warnings in place and everyone’s safety our number one priority, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend’s Country Week trials.

Let’s be honest… by the time we got out there, the pitch would probably be more suited to mud wrestling than football! 🤦‍♀️⚽😂

A huge thank you to all the players, parents, coaches and volunteers for your understanding. The good news is that trials are already scheduled for next weekend, so fingers crossed Mother Nature gives us a break

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting some pretty wild weather this weekend, including strong to destructive winds 🌪️😳

As much as we’d love to see everyone out there, there’s probably not much point trying to run trials if:
⚽️ we can’t see the ball
💨 players are getting blown into next week
🥅 the goals end up in another postcode

I’ll make the final call either tonight or tomorrow morning depending on conditions. Thanks everyone for your patience and understand
