Back in 1982 the family engineering design and manufacturing company specialised within the hi-tech, electro-mechanical, automated equipment industry. The design concepts nurtured by the Managing Director, Mike Bretton have been seen world-wide through his retention as a Technical Consultant to the popular Channel 4 TV programme 'Scrap Heap Challenge'. In 1991, an interest and involvement in clay

target shooting identified the need for a clay target launcher to bridge the gap between the two options then available, of either a simple hand trap or large 'Club' type launchers. Applying some of the principles developed in the company's industrial machines, Acorn designed a small, lightweight target launcher and since then these reliable traps have been sold in ever increasing numbers world wide. Acorn now focuses entirely on the design and production of clay target launchers and has developed a new generation of cost effective machines to cater for all aspects of the sport.

Let’s just say me and looping targets aren’t the best of friends when it comes to hitting them.

BUT at least I can practice (and keep missing) using the AC320 Navigator ABT OSC with a 400 clay capacity carousel.

So. We were out testing our new carousel inserts.

It’s a great piece of kit for sim days or going out with a few friends to shoot.

What a weekend at The Game Fair, Ragley Hall. If you came to see us, thank you, rested on our shady bench, with or without dogs, with or without any interest in clay shooting you’re welcome. A pleasure to meet so many wonderful people and we all enjoyed chatting with you. Incredibly hot, then incredibly gusty our stand took it all and lives to tell the tale.
