This weekend saw Team21 travel to Stewartby Powerboat and Hydroplane Racing, Racing for the second test/British Masters Championship weekend.

With testing on Saturday we were using this time to prep for Sundays racing.
Riley qualified second for heat 1 and that’s where he finished the race, for heat 2 this was a reverse grid of heat 1 so Riley started in 3rd place and managed to battle his way to the front and win heat 2
Heat 3 he was on pole and stayed out in front and looking like he’d won but was given 2nd place by a whisker 🤷🏼‍♂️
Reverse grid again saw Riley start heat 4 in 3rd, and again battling his way through with some tight turns to win the heat, giving him an overall 1st place for the weekend 🏁🥇 🏆

This weekend Team 21 travelled to Carr Mill, to attend Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club weekend race event. Enjoying excellent weather and lots of valuable time on the water throughout the event.

Riley was particularly pleased to return to his favourite racing venue. The team used the opportunity to experiment with different setups, ensuring a productive and enjoyable weekend on the water. Although only two GT15 boats were present, both competitors made the most of the conditions, engaging in some mini 3 lap races on the second day to fine tune their race starts.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club, The Dam Bar & Grill, as well as all officials, safety crews, Osprey Rescue, volunteers, and everyone involved in organising and supporting the event.

This weekend saw Team21 travel to Stewartby Powerboat and Hydroplane Racing for the first test/British Masters Championship weekend. Unfortunately storm Dave had different ideas and decided to cut the weekend short. But the little test we did get done, Riley was loving the new boat and looked very happy to finally be back on the water.

Riley Hudson is one of the standout young competitors in the British GT15 powerboat racing scene. Racing with number 21 in a Povvat hull powered by a Tohatsu MFS15E, Riley has already built an impressive record of success since beginning his racing journey in 2022.

Inspired by watching his uncle Brad compete in GT30, Riley developed a passion for speed, adrenaline, and the competitive edge of powerboat racing from an early age. That spark quickly turned into ambition, and once he stepped into a boat himself, his natural talent became impossible to ignore.

Riley’s rise through the ranks has been fast and determined. At club level, he has dominated the GT15 category at LOBMBC, securing back to back Club Championships in 2024 and 2025, following his earlier success as the 2023 Stewartby Masters Champion. His consistency, sharp race craft, and fearless approach to overtaking have made him a driver to watch at every event.

On the national stage, Riley added to his growing reputation by becoming the 2023 Sprint Champion, proving he can perform under pressure and deliver results when it matters most.

Engineering, Riley now sets his sights on the 2026 season, where he will compete in all four rounds of the SWSC British Masters Championship. With each year bringing more experience and confidence, he continues to push himself toward the front of the fleet.

Riley’s favourite course is Carr Mill, a venue that suits his bold driving style and love for high speed racing. His long term ambitions are clear and unapologetically ambitious: to become British Champion, and one day, World Champion.

As 2025 draws to a close all of Team21 would like to thank everyone for there support this year.
Riley managed to win the Lowestoft & Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club champion for the second time, in what has been a very difficult year, Losing our racing family friend Brett was very sad and his family are always in our thoughts.

A massive thank you must go to our excellent rescue Rapid Response Rescue Team, officials and volunteers at LOBMBC, Stewartby Powerboat and Hydroplane Racing and Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club who don’t get enough recognition.

This weekend the team travelled to Stewartby Powerboat and Hydroplane Racing for the final round of the GT15 British Championship which was the last race of the season

With very strong competition Riley only managed to qualify in 5th place. But after heat 1 he managed to gain 1 position and finish 4th which is where he remained for the rest of the heats giving him an overall 4th place finish.

Congratulations to Poppy Stewart for becoming the British champion for the 3rd time, and a massive Well done to all the other competitors 👍
