Jc racing team traveled to stewartby for the first time this year for the testing/ Masters Championship weekend at Stewartby Powerboat and Hydroplane Racing seeing Jack having his first testing session on Saturday in his new boat and seeing jack happy to be back on the water again after a long winter off the water but Unfortunately storm Dave had different plans and cut the weekend short for us all

We would like to Thank all the officials, rescue teams and volunteers for all your hard work this weekend

🚨 NOTIFICATION TO ALL MEMBERS / WATER USERS FROM SWSC MANAGEMENT 🚨

Please be advised that the club has been notified by the Environment Agency that a new invasive species has been detected at Stewartby Lake : Dikerogammarus haemobaphes aka ‘Demon Shrimp’. 🦐

As a result of this notice, we are immediately notifying our members and competitors that visit the lake, of their responsibilities to ensure that control measures are observed.

The SWSC management committee are currently formulating a response as to how this matter will be handled and the membership will be notified when all required protocols are established.

In the meantime, please observe the guidance of the ‘Check, Clean, Dry’ Campaign and take immediate action to limit the spread. Facilities will be provided for you to wash your boats down before they leave the premises.

With only 40 days remaining until the start of the 2026 Stewartby Powerboat Racing British Masters championship, anticipation is mounting for this club championship, which introduces a dynamic format spanning four rounds.

This Club Championship introduces a new concept aimed at engaging racers, boosting participation, and providing Stewartby Powerboat Racers and the wider racing community with more opportunities to race in varied formats.

The championship will feature four rounds, where each class will compete in three distinct competitions during each round and vie for overall titles across the season.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐇 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏:The British Masters Championship features a rigorous schedule with one qualifying session followed by four heats daily, incorporating reverse grids to keep the competition unpredictable and exciting.

🇬🇧🏆NEW FOR 2026 THE SWSC - BRITISH MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP ! 🏆🇬🇧

Following a change of strategic direction as advised to the club by the CPA for 2026, SWSC, having previously committed to host rounds of the national & sprint championship as agreed at the drivers forum have been given no other choice than to reassess the content of our on water activities.

With this in mind and the fact that we are currently experiencing a 50 % loss on our allocated water time at SWSC, the power committee have ourselves had a strategic rethink on what we can do to maximise our time on the water and we are pleased to announce the formation of our new championship format for 2026.

The British Masters Championship will consist of 3 separate elements, with the rules set to offer different opportunities for those to gain the highest possible results, even if you cannot commit to a full championship.

🏆THE BRITISH MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP :
- 1 x Qualifying & 4 x heats per day.
- Heats 1 & 2 - 3 & 4 to be run back to back with reverse grids for heats 2 & 4 !

🏆THE BRITISH MASTERS MATCH RACE CHAMPIONSHIP :
- Head to head elimination competition that consists of 2 laps each race (short & long course)

🏆THE BRITISH MASTERS LAP RECORD CHAMPIONSHIP:
- Fastest laps achieved by each competitor in racing conditions awarded points.

🏁Each event will have winners declared in each element.

🏁Overall final championship points to be determined by a best percentage of your highest points for the season.

📕2026 CPA rules apply with the exceptions of the specific championship rules that will shortly be published.
