This evening (18th May), we had a game at Mettingham. It was a great evening, with great company. Although KGBC did not do very well, we all had a great evening and thanks to Mettingham Bowls Club for refreshments following the game. At least it kept dry throughout the evening.

Tuesday 5th May we will host the Railway Bowls Club at our Gardens from 6.30 pm. Here's to a great evening. Come along and support KGBC.

KGBC played our first game away at Wrentham. Many thanks to our hosts. Unfortunately we lost overall but we had a great evening with great company.

The Greens at Kensington Gardens opened on Saturday 25th April and I must say the weather has been very kind to us. On Saturday, the opening day, KGBC had 8 people attend the first rollup of the season and on Sunday morning, there was more of us turn up for another fun rollup. Wednesday evening was our first evening rollup and 24 of our members had a great evening even though the East Wind kept the temperature down. Our first match is at Wrentham on Monday 4th May.

On Sunday 14th September Kensington Gardens welcomed Benfleet Bowls Club from Essex. The weather was good and we were ready to bowl. There was great banter between all of us and we had great fun. Benfleet won the trophy and we decided to make this an annual event. We hope we may be able to visit with Benfleet next year.

The last away match of the season was away to Somerleyton. The rain didn't stop some great bowl shots. It was tough going and at times very wet. Unfortunately we lost.47-38. We won on one rink and lost on two. Well played to everyone.

The club has been asked by Carl Kelaart's family to sell his Woods which are Size 4 heavy, bowling shoes (size 9) and bowling bag. The woods are in good condition for their age, the shoes are like new. We are looking for sensible offers. These can be seen at the bowls pavilion and if you are interested, please contact the Secretary on 07960 753216.
