Yesterday's Junior Kempo Gradings were a huge success!
A massive congratulations to our 5 new Brown Belts and our new White Belt. The standard on display was fantastic, and the effort, determination, and spirit shown by every student throughout the grading was outstanding.
We are incredibly proud of you all. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to your training were clear for everyone to see.
A huge thank you to our newly graded Black Belts for their support and assistance throughout the day, and to Ray and Simon for their time, knowledge, and for helping maintain the high standards we strive for within our club.
Well done everyone, a fantastic achievement! 🥋👏🙏

The Kempo grading weekend started with our ladies taking on their Green Belt grading.
What an amazing effort from you both. Throughout the grading you showed determination, commitment, and the true spirit of Kempo. Congratulations Alison and Donna on achieving your Green Belts. They are truly well deserved, and you should both be incredibly proud of your achievement.
A huge thank you to Soke Ray Parker, Hachidan Simon Jones, and our newly graded Black Belts for giving up their time to take the grading and help set the high standards we strive for within our Kempo family.

The family of Professor Jack Holt would like me to pass on their thanks to all the martial artist who attended Sensei's funeral and joined in with the special salutation we all did at the end. It gave them great comfort once again thanks.

Kempo Black Belt Grading 🥋🔥

Wow! What an absolutely incredible effort from you all this morning.

Two and a half hours of non-stop grading, pushing yourselves through everything from basic white belt techniques right through to advanced Kempo, weapons work, sword techniques, sparring, throws, and so much more.

The determination, spirit, and effort shown by every single one of you was outstanding. You dug deep, supported each other, and demonstrated exactly what Kempo is all about.

I couldn't be prouder of each and every one of you. The journey to Black Belt is never easy, and today you showed why you deserve to be standing at this level.

Tomorrow, Saturday 6th June, is a very special day for our club.
We have FIVE students stepping up to grade for their Kempo Black Belts. 🥋👊
What makes this even more special is that it's been 12 years since we last graded anyone to Kempo Black Belt.
Four years ago, we brought back the old-school Kempo training with a simple thought: "Let's give it a try and see if anyone enjoys it." From those humble beginnings, we've watched dedication, hard work, perseverance, and countless hours of training grow into something truly incredible.
Now, tomorrow, we have five students ready to take that next step on their martial arts journey.
Regardless of the outcome, every one of you should be proud of what you've achieved to reach this point. The commitment you've shown to the traditional path of Kempo has been outstanding.
Good luck to all five candidates. Train hard, stay focused, and leave everything on the mat.

🥋⛩️ Fantastic Iaido Taster Session! ⛩️🥋
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part in today's Iaido taster session. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, focus, and willingness to learn the traditional art of the sword.
From learning basic stances and movements to working with the hanbo and developing confidence in your techniques, everyone threw themselves into the training and did an amazing job. The spirit, respect, and concentration shown throughout the session made it a pleasure to teach.
We hope you all enjoyed your first steps on this martial journey and gained a small insight into the discipline, history, and beauty of Iaido.
We're back again next weekend, so if you missed out this time, come and join us!
Thank you once again for your support and effort. We look forward to seeing you all back on the dojo floor soon.
